Well on a purely entertainment level it's gonna be hard to top hearing the words "I want to fuck you like a dirty little schoolgirl" come out of Juan Martinez's mouth.

But seeing those pictures last night really brought home what this trial is about...I don't know why but I can't stop thinking about those pics. Today is going to be a very sad day, I think

Well. You know that old saying about 'not seeing the forest for the trees.' The police had so much, maybe they didn't dig into that stuff. I will comment that Juan Martinez didn't do that great a job handling the detail about Jodi's purchases--especially gas and Wal-Mart in a way that would have provided more clarity and coherence. It is a simple thing to check with Wal-Mart to determine if the specific gas can Jodi purchased was returned for a refund. Wal-Mart has the largest and most sophisticated system of inventory control on the planet--that's why they are so successful--and every item is logged in and out individually. We all know a return transaction is immediately recorded at the Customer Service Desk. It was all kind of a jumble the way Juan Martinez got so agitated and jumped back and forth. I think he confused the Jury. I know he confused me and I'm kinda trained in detail and I like it. But I offer no criticism. Martinez has a hell of a job. However, 'the Devil is in the details' to quote that old cliche. I'd have put this part together in a much more comprehensive manner; but I wasn't asked; so I'll shut up now.

You know I should have thought of what you said about Walmart inventory. I worked in retail for years and even we could have put the upc number of that particular item into the system and checked for refunds and matched day and time with the cameras to see if she returned it! I wonder why they wouldn't have done that?

Maybe she returned it because you're not supposed to put gasolene in a kerosene can. I don't know if it's enforced. Then she bought a smaller gas can, because JM has 3 receipts for gas at the same gas station.

I think he's planting the seeds and letting the jury come to their own conclusions in their heads, then he'll hammer it home in closing arguments and the jury will be more likely to follow/believe him because they'll have already come to these conclusions on their own based on the information he's providing now.

I think he does a good job. If I were on the jury I could follow him without a problem. Supposedly he is one of the best. The way she answers the questions with answers other than yes or no and takes off in different directions would frustrate anyone. He definitely does a good job considering!!

He gave her the "much needed ass pounding" that her text requested. I had to! Anyway I think today will be the last day of JM's cross, and even better than yesterday. I think that the crime scene/autopsy photos are going to come out again today. I feel bad for Travis' family.

I've seen this before in movies, and I'm not sure if it actually happens in real life trials, but I think JM should bring out a dummy, and stab it 27 times, slit it's throat, and then shoot it. That way it gives the jury of visual of the time/energy/rage it must have taken to inflict all his injuries. If I saw something getting stabbed in front of me 27 times, that would definitely stick in my head that this certainly wasn't self defense, but a clear crime of passion. I mean seriously, make a stabbing motion with your hand 27 times, it's WAY more than you think.

They're just not trained or oriented like you or me. Checking Wal-Mart return records doesn't compare in glamour to testing shell casings, swabbing for traces of the great god DNA, and retrieving pictures of pig-tailed pigs off of high-techmemory cards that have gone through the wash cycle.

We're advocating an old-fashioned approach that doesn't provide enough excitement for a half-hour episode. But our way does work.

I could be wrong, but in court today, when JM was talking about cheating on taxes and asked Jodi about taxes she filed prior to 2008, she got a stricken look on her face. Like she was scared he was going to bring out prior tax returns and she had cheated on them.

She's so smart but not smart enough to know that they can only go back three years from date of filing or tax due date, whichever is later...unless of course she didn't file at all, then statue of limitations runs forever.

Nancy Grace pounded on her hand 29 times (immitating stabs) and it took 29 seconds. Apparently the murder took less than two minutes yet she had time to run get the gun and get knocked over by Travis before she stabbed him 29 time and shot him and this all happened in that time?
