I don't know, but people criticising the prosecutor might take a moment to remember that a man in the prime of his life was brutally murdered, then accused of being a pedophile and an abuser, the prosecutor is speaking for Travis and defending him as Travis is no longer able to speak for himself. Legally, Martinez cannot COMMAND Jodi answer to HIM. He can cross-examine her within constraints of the legal system, BUT he cannot COMMAND shit. She has constitutional rights.

All that was meant by that statement (correct me if I'm wrong AnnieBelle) is that insteadf of letting her run the show, he is controlling the testimony. He's not letting her go off on tangents, and when she starts to, he is reminding her it's a yes or no question.
Nurmi let her take these wild side trips to stories that had no bearing. Martinez is getting down to the facts and not letting her blind the jury with schmarrn.

Neither the judge OR jury ever shows back up in the courtroom on time. As I mentioned earlier, I have NEVER seen such a total waste of court time in any other trial I have ever watched. 4 hours a day for a murder trial of this magnitude is beyond ridiculous.

Can someone confirm the time from the last picture of Travis alive to the one of him bleeding on the floor? Just reading the police report and it says 3 minutes. Jodi's little bathroom/closet chase and her shooting the gun don't even correlate with these pictures. The last picture of him alive was supposedly at 530 and then at 533 it shows Travis on the floor, at the NORTH end of the hallway, bleeding profusely from the neck. And how if she had already cut his neck did he get to end of the hallway so fast? I suppose he could have still run but that was a fatal injury. Confused. Anyone?

I think Travis was hurt in that last picture. Maybe she had stabbed him in the back or somewhere else we can't see. I see a fat upper lip and bruise to the left of his chin.
Why is he sitting with the water running?

Maybe I'm weird, but I often sit in the shower. It feels nice to just let the hot water beat on my while a rest. I do it often (when I have the time to take a lengthier shower), so I don't find his sitting in the shower to be odd.

Plus, how could she stop injuring him long enough to take a picture without him being able to stop her? I think the only way all of this works is if she continually stabbed him, he was injured and shocked enough that he couldn't fight back sufficiently. If she had injured him, and then stopped to take a picture, he would have been able to put an end to it. Just my thoughts...

I've seen it. The prosecutor in the Susan Wright case was pounding her fist onto the shelf in front of the witness box to indicate how many times the defendent had stabbed her husband (196 times, I believe.)

I think the defense is going to try to delay it. They said they needed time to review the exhibit they were given right before break. I didn't hear what the judge told them, though. I thought she might have said they had until the end of the lunch break, but I am not sure.

Why hasn't the defence already read all her journals, they have had years!!

What they're doing by "impeaching" her is in fact, calling her out on her lies, incriminating her, in essence calling her out for the liar that she is. If any part of her past testimony is found to be "impeachable," called into question, the jury, in their instructions from the judge prior to deliberation, will be told that they can disregard ALL of her testimony. It's a big deal. Hope this helps, that I understood your question.

This is silly. Criticizing the legal technique of a prosecutor has zero to do with the victim.

I applaud Jodi for holding her own. I know some of you are going to hate and smite me for this, BUT he's overbearing and as has been mentioned, over and over, on HLN ALWAYS attacking all witnesses, whether they are his own witnesses or defense witnesses.

To me, he is a man so vested in his perceived power that he thinks he is entitled to act like a rabid dog. I'd hate to know and deal with someone like this in my own personal life. I wouldn't be as polite as Jodi has been.

I couldn't applaud Jodi for anything, not snarking at you, but I have not a jot of sympathy for her. He's probably got a pretty good sense of humour in his personal life, I have 2 prosecutors, one a QC (top dog in UK) in my family, and they're funny as hell. Particularly the younger one who has a rep pretty much like JM.

I was waiting for JM to point out that she is left handed, and managed to write in neat penmanship with a mangled, untreated broken finger right after it happened.

I don't know about anyone else's interpretation, but I don't think Martinez is being overly-aggressive, at all.

Side note: HLN host guy just mentioned about how he'd broken his finger before and it was hard to write, and the writing difference was noticeable. He said Jodi's writing looked the same before and after the so-called broken finger incident.

But, I think that the most important part of that is the fact that it was mentioned the date where Jodi claims Travis assaulted her and was looking at child porn, she made absolutely no mention of it in her journal at all.

Right! And it's a MASSIVE point!! It's looking like whoever had the task of reading Jodi's journal, has missed it. If they've not done their work properly, the Judge should not be entertaining them, as this is not last minute evidence. Ridiculous.
