Soooo, Jodi said that she still had love for Travis; "a different kind of love"?
I sure hope no one ever "loves" me that way.
On a side note, as much as I think Abe loves the attention, I think he is a truth-telling person. I believe he actually cares about what happened to Travis and he cares about Jodi receiving justice.
wtf - abes phone didn't cut out??

I'm not sure which came first, and I don't really think it matters, but I can see it from both sides.
The angle of the shot means Jodi was aiming down at Travis when she pulled the trigger. There is the last photo of him, sitting in the shower. It would seem logical that she shot him shortly after that, while he was still in that position.
The other explanation is that she shot him after the stabbing and neck slicing, in order to insure that he was truly dead. I can understand that thinking as well. But, in that case, it means that somehow, after she had already done all that damage, that he was in a sitting position. You would think a guy who was attacked so viciously and hurt so badly, would have a hard time sitting up. I would have expected him to be prone on the floor. Although I suppose she could have been dragging him into the shower when she discovered he was still making noises? Death throes? And so then she leaned him against the door of the shower and pulled the trigger?
I think a caliber that is so small would've done some damage, as in disability to Travis, but it wouldn't have likely been an immediate kill shot. It really depends on what the bullet hit when it entered. And considering different lobes of the brain and different functions, it may not have hit an extremely vital area that would end in immediate death.
I know it sounds crazy to say that shooting someone in the head wouldn't do a lot of damage. But a small bullet, at just the right angle...
I'm not sure about the bullet casing. I know there was not blood on top of it, but was there blood underneath? There would've been blood coating the underside of the bullet if it fell into the blood and it dried for 5 days.
Is there a possibility that the bullet was kicked -- by the roommates/friends, or someone with the police, and ended up where it landed?
There are so many stories about being shot and moving around. One story a guy drives himself to a hospital or something, another with one small bullet landing in the wrong spot and you are dead.
Look at the kid from Columbine, two frontal shots and he crawled across the library, to the windows were the Swat team saved him.
We don't KNOW the bullet landed that day on top of blood. All we can say for sure is it was found there - after several people had walked through the crime scene.
I honestly don't think Flores wrote his report of went in to testify before a grand jury probable cause making it up as he went for no reason. He doesn't come off that lax on his job or dumb to me.
This gif reminds me of Jodi:
DID SHE KNOW TRAVIS TOO?
Yeah, it's hard to know. I mean just say he did get shot in the head first and didn't immediately die, maybe that's when Jodi grabbed the knife and went crazy to kill him for sure because she was shocked he wasn't on the ground and usually people who get shot in the head go down. Like, she knew he wasn't going to be too happy with her after the fact so she had to make sure he was dead first.
I'm kind of believing that she shot him last because she possibly heard some kind of death gargle escape from the big ass slash in his throat and wanted him dead. I can totally get behind the theory that she brought a gun there to cry suicide to him.

I can't wait! This is going to be interesting. She's made so many stupid mistakes (they hardly need an ME to argue about). I'd love if Juan had her get on the floor and show us how this shot occured at that angle first or last. Oops, one thing all MEs agree on is, it wasn't close range. Meaning while Travis had her around the waist.
So he jumped out of the shower ... wet on tile... bodyslammed her... wet on tile... and ran at her.... wet on tile. Talent.
I'm trying to pay back some reps. Who left the msg. about "...being touched in the head?" I owe ya one![]()
I don't think deep down she feels anything. She feels bad because she got caught, she feels bad because people will know what "she is capable of". She didn't express or verbalize one shred of remorse for Travis. NONE. Nurmi was even trying to get her to say the word and she flat out refused to use that word...PERIOD.
That's why I don't think she went there to pretend like she was going to hurt herself and then went off on Travis. She has zero guilt for what she did. Only that she got caught.
