I agree Zee. Everytime she says me, I think the jurors are feeling the same way we are, at least I hope they are. I think her memory of every bit of her life, up to the murder of Travis will work against her too. She remembers the most ridiculous things in detail, but killing a man, uh I don't remember, I think I blacked out. Uh no!
Same thing happened to me washing a glass, I lost a lot of blood. The pain didn't kick in for a few minutes, then was insane.
That's the whole thing, if she was suicidal, why care what everyone thinks of her? Wouldn't the darkness of how you feel about yourself be on your mind?

I feel kind of bad saying this, but my sympathy is very slim for her. I have so much trouble determining when she's being real - honest. I don't feel pain coming from her heart. I could be wrong of course. I'm also a bit jaded by her, because I was so impacted by her creepiness on the original 48 Hours she did in 2008.

I lost fingers in an accident and didn't feel it for a while. I also cut my wrists as a teenager,, not ddep enough to kill me, and did feel it. I think if you do it intentionally, you do feel it. BUT I also think that if you seriously want to die, you will do it. I don't think she ever wanted to commit suicide.

After lunch.
Jodi is still on the stand. Defense is still up. Jodi returned the rental car but not on time. Jodi overslept. Jodi's SIL drove her to the rental place. She was scheduled to work Friday at 4pm. When she came in town-she went to grandmothers home then went to work. Jodi knew Travis was dead at this time. Jodi didn't know if anyone else knew he was dead at this time. Jodi was in fear. June 10 early in the morning and Dan called her. Jodi knew before she answered that's probably why he was calling. She contacted Brent and there was no answer so she called Zack's girlfriend who wouldn't tell her much , so she called the bishop.

Jodi doubled over and started sobbing really hard. She couldn't stand up. Jodi was hoping the whole thing wasn't real and it never happened. Her hope was dashed when she talked to the bishop. (she's fake crying again) Things were going through Jodi's head. She didn't know how his friend's had found him and what they were going through. She didn't know what to think. Jodi had to hang up with the bishop. Jodi was scared and thought she would get arrested the next day.
Flores- She called him later in the day after talking to the bishop. Why? Leslie wanted her to. Jodi thought it would look more ify if she didn't call him. Jodi was scared to tell Flores the truth. She was covering her tracks and keeping up the game.
Gun that Jodi buys- Don's Sporting Goods. July 1 but took possession of it July 11. It was a 9mm. Jodi didn't make any attempts to kill herself during the 3 week gap of the murder-to the gun.
Calls to Flores-Why? Contuine to play the game of pretending. Two she wanted information about the case. (I don't know what happened to the third reason. She said she had 3 reasons why)
Jodi never thought about using a gun to kill herself. When she got her own gun, she though about it more. Her dad owns guns, Matt, OG, etc......and Jodi wanted guns. She wanted to be a responsible gun owner. ( along story about panning for gold and her friend) (STFU Jodi) Jodi does not feel safe around guys anymore.
Travis' death-Yes, he had memorial services. Jodi went to the memorial. (cold hearted) Jodi thought it would be ify to others. Now Jodi is talking about her funeral and crying. They had an agreement they would attend each other's funerals. Jodi keeps her promises. WHY? Because he would have come to mine. (now she's going into another story about character)
Jodi believed in Travis. (state is objecting to leading) Jodi thought he was a good person MOST of the time. She forgave Travis for attacking her that day and blamed herself. (Bull shite. Seriously???? Nurmi is leading her straight to hell) She went to Dan's after the service-she was in the bedroom-she felt like Travis was THERE. Jodi knew he was okay and in a better place-and he wasn't mad anymore. (Travis' sister is crying so very hard. It made me tear up a little)

June 4th- Nurmi is now bringing up the first time he attacked her-Before the day of the murder.

Why do you think you had other options once it started? I didn't mean to shot him and he became a volcano. (it's all Travis' fault) She didn't know Travis was shot until Flores told her.
Jodi was acting like she had nothing to hide. Everything was normal. After she found out, then it was okay to let her emotions out. She had other emotional cries after talking to the bishop. Every night-usually. (she's a terrible faker)
Jodi only told her family he died. She didn't tell them she was there. She never told her family. Especially the sex stuff. It was embarrassing. (a long story about philosophy about "the law of attraction" and what it is) I guess Travis didn't want Jodi writing negative things in her diary about Travis. Jodi says she never said anything negative about Travis ever-except to Matt.

She didn't want people to know about Travis' sexual problems. Uh....she also didn't want people to know b/c it would be considered "motive to kill him"
The day she was arrested- She was moving some things to Monteray. Car rental. She loaded the rental car up. She had things of Matt's. She took a shower. The police came. The gun was in the car. Did Flores arrest you? Officer Potter put the handcuffs on. Jodi spoke with Flores that day afterwards. Jodi gave DNA and fingerprints before she was arrested.
Questioned by Flores- She was wearing her street clothes interview. Jodi didn't tell him the truth b/c she was ashamed of what happened. That's not the type of person she is. It's just shameful. She was scared. She didn't want her family to know. (nothing about Travis at all)
Jodi always heard "not to admit to anything" and she didn't understand that she could be quite. (REALLY????)
The next day- She was wearing jail clothes. She was confronted with evidence that she was there. YES. She told another lie. YES. She told him about the ninja's. She was trying to create a scene. Ninja's why? IDK. Just seemed like (objection from state)

Ninja's- prior to her arrest she heard rumors flying around and Flores told her it was more than one person. Why a man and a woman? Sounded like Travis and I. Jodi thought about telling him the truth. She was no where near ready to tell. "NO WAY" on telling Flores about the sexual thing with Travis. She was worried about their reputations. She didn't see the benefit to tell the truth. It would cause pain. She was protecting Travis ( yep) Jodi considered Travis her friend. Travis image was more important than Jodi's own future. Jodi didn't have a future.
Jodi had plans to kill herself, but it wasn't set in stone. Jodi took steps after she was arrested. Jodi decided then-after her arrest. Jodi bought a bunch of advil (in jail b/c you can buy a bunch of stuff) and she took it the next day and double edge razors. She took that apart. Jodi didn't want her room mate on the bottom bunk to get blood on he-she wrapped towels around her body, then she knicked herself on the wrist. It was like a papercut. She wanted to be dead by Travis' birthday. She couldn't go through with it.
Media- They reached out to Jodi's family. CBS. Leach. They came to do an interview. Jodi thought maybe it was a sign-do the interview, then kill herself. Jodi wanted to tell her side. She didn't want to be remembered as the girl that can kill.

Media interviews- Jodi didn't just want Travis' family and friends to be the ONLY side in the interview (that right there tells you all you need to know about Jodi). She wanted the world to see her as a normal person (Okay, hows that working for you now, Jodi?) Jodi is worried about her image. She decided to stick with the "stupid" story she told Flores. Leach inteviewed Jodi at the jail. The suicide got put on hold, but she planned not to be around by the time it aired. She did another interview with 48 hrs. This interview was at the jail.
Why did you describe your childhood as ideal? I thought it was (objection from state as leading) I guess when mama wasn't beating her with the wooden spoon-Life was great for Jodi. Jodi sugar coated everything. She never mentioned in the interviews that she was abused by Travis. Jodi didn't want anybody to know. MOTIVE-that's what she said. She was worried about people thinking it would be a motive (LOL) They talked about the sex in the interview. Why was that Okay? I didn't go into details about that either. The naked pictures were already known.
The phone call with Flores-Jodi admitted there was a sexual relationship with Travis. Why? I thought it would establish that we were close. (she was trying to protect herself)
Jodi had told other people about her sexual relationship. Jodi said she confessed to her bishop. Jodi didn't want people to know b/c it's embarrassing.
The spiderman underwear and text messages were not something Jodi thought other would know. She figured some of the text were still there. She ASSumed.
Phone sex- That was not in the phone when Jodi was arrested.

I hope JM is thorough but I do not think he should go on and on ripping apart every lie. Otherwise he will lose momentum like Wormi has. No one is interested in this shit anymore. JM needs to keep it exciting, something the Jury will remember. Instead of this droning on and on like Wormi.
This is what drives me NUTS about Jodi-- her lying about domestic abuse, suicide, etc. makes a mockery of real abused women and real suicidal people. Arrgh!
