The bath mat is by the tub NOT the shower.
There is a jutted out wall between the two.
we don't know what was where during the murder - she cleaned up hauled a body around - did a load of wash

Yea, I understand. She's been through a lot.

No one looks good when they first wake up, so I don't expect pageant beauty in a murder trial. Thanks for the warning though.

Well.....you do have to admire her dedication to being on time to her work shift after killing him.

I find it very interesting to read body language and to dissect what someone says to try to determine if they are being truthful. Here are a few things that really stood out to me.

-If I was ever unsure about Jodi being a sociopath, today has completely settled the issue for me. Everything is about HER, how SHE feels, how it will affect HER life. Even Travis death. She feels no remorse for Travis being dead. She is only remorseful in how it affects her life.

-She claims she doesn't remember much of what happened while she murdered Travis. She remembers more about how SHE felt. She said she knew it was really bad and that "my life was probably done now." Notice there is no mention of remorse for Travis' life. Just that HER life is probably done now.

-The story that Jodi told about Travis making out with a random girl he met in Phoenix and would never see again is just so much bull crap. She realized that she had to explain why she didn't just leave the home. So, she made up a story about him catching her while she ran down the hallway. This entire story really made me mad. In the middle of explaining how she murdered him, she had to get in a few more slams on his character. He is supposedly making out with a random woman he doesn't care about, he had to wipe his mouth off, she had to re-hook her bra. Then she says "he let out a loud scream" after she calmly asked him if he was seeing anyone. She would not "freak out like Deanna" did, because he told her Deanna always freaked out about things. The next thing we know Travis is hitting walls, screaming, running upstairs, banging his head on the wall repeatedly, looking unstable, screaming again, spinning her around "like a madman," and then suddenly calms down. NONE OF THIS IS TRUE AND NONE OF IT MAKES ANY SENSE. It is a story fabricated for the convenience of slamming Travis and explaining why she didn't just run away.

-Jodi said she was bending down, dropped camera, almost recovered it (like a football,) but it slipped through her hands, hit the bath mat and rolled onto the tile. According to her this sends Travis into a murderous rage. Travis calls her a "fuc**** idiot, a five year old can hold a camera better than you." He body slams her, screams at her to the point she is getting wet with his spit, pins her down in a wrestler holds, that she is somehow able to get out of, and then screams "kill you bitch." She somehow gets out of this hold, and runs down the hall, instead of running downstairs away from the naked and wet Travis, she runs into his closet and gets this gun that no one else has ever heard of before.

-Jodi says she pointed it at him "with both hands," he lunged at her like a linebacker and the gun went off, she didn't even know how, and didn't think he had been shot. Please picture this in your mind. If that were true, he would have been shot in his torso. NOT in his face in a downward angle where the bullet entered his temple in a downward trajectory, the bullet being lodged in his cheek.

-Gun goes off and Jodi thinks to herself, "crap, now he is really going to be pissed." She is not worried about accidentally shooting him, she just thinks that he will be pissed? This is her effort to show how scared she was of Travis' anger. Fail.

-Jodi's emotions during the entire time she is telling about murdering Travis is almost non existent. She is barely able to fake cry. It is one of the most bizarre things I have ever seen.

-Of course she went into the "lots of gaps...lots of things I don't remember that day...a huge gap...very confusing...may have blacked out." So predictable.

-She has no memory of stabbing him. (Very convenient.) She remembers standing in the bathroom and dropping the knife onto the tile and screaming. She said Travis is on the ground near her. She remembers putting a knife in a dishwasher, she thinks it was that day.

-Suddenly her memory clears up while she is in the desert.

-This REALLY stood out to me: Nurmi asked her about getting rid of the weapons. I forget the exact question, but it was something about the order of which she got rid of them or something like that. He specifically said weapons. Her answer was "I don't remember what happened to the knife. Gun was when I stopped. Rope was after that." She included the "rope" when he asked about her disposing of the weapons. There has been a lot of discussion about if HE was tied up at some point. I have never really thought that he was. But, her including in it the answer about the weapons really makes me think.

-Jodi shows her hatred of Travis. She was asked if she loved him then, she said "yeah, I did." She was asked if she still loved him now, she hesitated and said, "yeah, but it's a different love, but yeah, I still do." She said this with NO emotion at all. Almost like she was annoyed she was being asked about it.

-Once Jodi's memory suddenly cleared up, she cleaned her car out in the desert and found her charger. She started thinking about HERSELF again. People were expecting her and would be worried about her. She talks to Leslie and Leslie mentions that she called Travis trying to find Jodi. Jodi realizes that she should call Travis too. Sociopaths often mirror or mimic what "normal people" do in order to appear normal.

-Jodi had no true regret for Travis being dead. Her only concern was how it would affect her life.

-I find it interesting that Jodi goes through all this effort after she murdered Travis to try to appear normal. When really, everything she did just proves how crazy she really is.

-Nurmi was really trying hard to get Jodi to show remorse over Travis. (I really can't stand him, but I actually almost felt bad for him today. He is dealing with this crazy sociopath and is trying to defend her and he doesn't have much to work with.) He asks her why she felt bad for killing him if she thought he was attacking her? In one of the biggest slips today, her response was, "He attacked me but, he had attacked me in the past and nothing had really happened." Nurmi is trying to do damage control and asks her what was different this time? She casually says, "It was heightened."

-Nurmi flat out asked her if she felt remorse for what happened. Jodi said, "I wish I could rewind the clock and not drop the camera, run left instead of right." At no point does she say she is sorry Travis is dead. That she is sorry she killed him. Not once. Jodi is only worried about what would happen to her.

-Jodi then goes on to say, "I knew my life was pretty much over, I didn't want people to know what I had done, or that I was there." Again, it is all about her. She is not sad that Travis' life is over. She doesn't want people to know what she had done and think less of her.

Those are just a few thoughts I had. I could go on and on and on. I'll spare you all the torture of that though.

You have to watch Trutv and then some other bullcrap show come on and then you flip to HLN. HLN is also on XM116 (which is better than missing it entirely).

    No XM for me.

I'll try and find TruTV and HLN on Time Warner Cable.

For the record, this could also be extreme narcissism. Me, me, me, sounds more like that than sociopathy in my opinion.

One thing stands out to me, Arias working so damn hard to try and prove no premeditation to murder, just convinces me there was. No doubt Arias planned this all though a fifth grader could have done a better job.

How pretty/special do you think your parts are?

We have this conversation here all the time when the gun argument comes up. People in rural areas love to say "I don't even lock my doors" but yet they have an arsenal. City folks have 5 locks on the front door but no firearms in the house.

It seems perfectly plausible that someone would have no locks on their doors while they sit in the dark holding a shotgun. Hell, it's pretty typical actually.

One thing I am willing to bet the house on-JM will pop down that throat cut picture to Jodi. He will say-You don't remember doing this?

I find it so strange that she went to Ryan's house-in Jodi's words-"To hang out and watch a scary movie"
It sent chills up my spine. Such a weird statement to say after you kill somebody.

Kinda like Jodi saying the naked pictures taken on the day she killed him wasn't her favorite part of the day.

Ryan Smith is right on. She only have tears and emotions for herself. She doesn't remember anything but you remembered where Travis kept his gun. And it just happened to be a 25 caliber gun like the one your grandparents had stolen from their home two weeks ago my little nephew has a story to tell you.

Did you notice when she was asked to explain that previous encounter, him supposedly chasing her down the hallway, her fearing for her life, that she took FOREVER to answer...long pause, licked lips, drank water. She was making it all up as she went along.

No, it's actually very likely that he would own a gun in Arizona. There's a lot crime there, some coming up from Mexico where people are kidnapped & held for ransom.

It's pretty unlikely, though, than Travis owned a .25 ACP gun IMO.

And I seem to recall a friend of his stating that Travis didn't & wouldn't own a .25.

.25 ACP has low stopping power. Even 9mm, although many prefer the lower recoil and understand they'll have to tap twice or more. .45, .40 are more common for a man's self defense weapon. .25s are seen more with women.

-She claims she doesn't remember much of what happened while she murdered Travis. She remembers more about how SHE felt. She said she knew it was really bad and that "my life was probably done now." Notice there is not mention of remorse for Travis' life.

Rope was after that." She included the "rope" when he said asked about her disposing of the weapons. There has been a lot of discussion about if HE was tied up at some point. I have never really thought that he was. But, her including in it the answer about the weapons really makes me think.

-Jodi shows her hatred of Travis. She was asked if she loved him then, she said "yeah, I did." She was asked if she still loved him now, she hesitated and said, "yeah, but it's a differnt love, but yeah, I still do." She said this with NO emotion at all.

He is dealing with this crazy sociopath and is trying to defend her and he doesn't have much to work with.) He asks her why she felt bad for killing him if she thought he was attacking her.

I agree with every single thing you mentioned. I too felt a little sympathy for Nurmi today because he hasn't got anything to help him. He is trying his best. He is actually getting annoyed with her today too, trying to keep her on track.

I'm interested in the rope theory as well.

I would love to hear the rest of your thoughts! No torture here!!
