I found this on another board, so I am not sure of the accuracy.
I wonder if Travis not visiting her did play something into this. He obviously enjoyed having sex with her, but then he never does make a booty-call trip to her in May, and at the same time, he's taking another woman (albeit platonicly) to Mexico. Since he didn't drive out to sex her up, perhaps Jodi thought he was getting the cooch from the new girl.May 10, 2008 - Phone sex recording; Jodi is already talking about going to Utah in June - has already started her phone relationship with Ryan. Reference to Travis visiting Jodi later that month.
May 28, 2008 --.25 caliber pistol is stolen from Jodi's home; Lisa and Travis talk on the phone for 40 minutes after not speaking for a couple of months; Plans to visit Ryan are in place already.
May 28-June 2 (date unknown) -- Jodi hacks Travis Facebook (and probably confronts Travis about whatever she saw that she didn't like); Travis tells Jodi it's over for good and to stay out of his life
Night of June 1, early morning of June 2, 2008 -- Jodi tries to call Travis 2 or 3 times, but calls went to voicemail; Travis calls Jodi 2x in early morning hours (before car rental) and speaks for 30-40 minutes, possibly the conversation where Travis tells Jodi to stay out of his life for good
June 2, 2008 - Jodi rents car and establishes various elements of her eventual alibi/cover-up
June 3, 2008 - Jodi borrows gas cans from Darryl; Jodi calls Travis around 8-9 P.M. Unclear whether there was a conversation or if it went to voicemail. Jodi then turns off her phone for the next 20 hours, and heads to Mesa, AZ.
June 4, 2008 -- Jodi shows up at Travis' house at 4 a.m.
The gun is stolen on May 28th (if that's correct) and she's got plans made to visit Ryan, which would conceivably be her alibi. "Oh I wasn't with Travis, I was driving to see Ryan, and I was totally over Travis cause I was hooking up with someone new" or something of that sort.
The fact that Jodi hacked Travis' facebook/email just days prior would certainly lead a person to believe that she quiet possibly saw some messages that told his friends he was done with Jodi, and/or about his taking someone else to Mexico.
I think it's logical to surmise that somewhere on or prior to the 28th -- when the gun was stolen -- and Jodi was apparently trying to acquire gas cans (Darryl said she called 3 times about them) -- is the point where she started to plan the trip and the murder.
Very good article. Thanks for sharing. Below are a few things that really stood out to me:
-In a 1998 article about gender bias in the criminal-justice system, Larissa MacFarquhar, reviewing two books about female killers, observes, "The message that emerges from this collection of tales is clear enough: be a woman, act like a woman, and you may blithely strew your neighborhood with bloody axes and severed heads, since the chances are that you will get away with murder."
-Only twelve women have been executed in the United States since 1976, as opposed to thirteen hundred and eight men
-To be sure, women are less apt to commit crimes "especially violent crimes" than men are; that has long been an accepted criminological fact. In recent decades, the "gender gap" in crime has narrowed somewhat, however, and there are a number of theories that might account for that change. Some believe that women are committing more crimes than they have in the past, but others argue that women are simply being investigated and arrested more often, as cops gradually come to terms with the concept of a female criminal.
-In 1987, the year the Massachusetts State Police ruled that the death of Seth Bishop was an accident, twenty-two per cent of people arrested for "serious crimes" in the United States were women. But women were only ten per cent of those convicted of such crimes and only five per cent of those imprisoned.
-While it might be tempting, even comforting, to conclude that the family members of a killer would be the first to register tremors of danger, it may actually be the case that those closest to an unstable person have too much invested, emotionally, to take a dispassionate view. Perhaps the closer you are to someone the more blinded you become to what they are capable of.
-This raises a chilling question: If the killer's own family and neighbors miss the red flags, what hope do the rest of us have?

OMG that letter is such bullshit. Travis wasn't scrutinized for being Jodi's friend. Travis' friends saw that Jodi was jealous and unstable and they wanted him to stop sexing her because she was becoming obsessed with him.
The Walmart website doesn't have a price on the kerosene can because it says it's available in stores only.
I'm planning on stopping there tomorrow to pick up a few groceries, so I will check the automotive/camping section and see if I can find the can and the price.
exhausting. Even in court last week Day 18 she was still rambling on delusions of them and 'our respective spouses' living happily ever after, like a frigging moutain hike among friends. Who the hell expects that from an old F--k? Great butthole baby, I hope our kids can one day play together>???????? She's crazy obsessed!
I want to see the e-mail Travis sent to Jodi (I know there were probably a ton) - the one I think his friend Taylor Searle mentioned on Nancy Grace...where Travis writes in the long e-mail his issues with Jodi and kind of cuts the ties with her. I remember Taylor saying something like, "Travis, do you really want to send that? Aren't you worried she's going to get mad?" -- however he said it, Taylor was seriously worried about Travis's well-being after sending that e-mail to Jodi. I wonder if Martinez will present that e-mail as motive for Jodi's rage.....??![]()
wow ty!!!
man is he manipulative - you can just see it - i have met ppl like this and gone running at light speed the other way - but i had amazing parents that taught me, he didn't have thatcan you imagine if he had an awesome mom, and she saw what jodi was doing? i once dated i guy like that - my stepmom had him sized up in 10 mins - and then he was history
I'm telling ya, I started trying to review Day 18, I've had to go in small doses all day. Still haven't finished it ... and it's only an hour tape.
Here's one of her demented twisted peekaboo trying to hide from the jury that she loves too look a her own horrors. This is when they were showing Travis' body in the shower. This bitch can't look away from enjoying her handy work. I hope the jury can see her.

wow - your right! http://www.deathpenaltyinfo.org/wome...-penalty#facts
I'll see if I can do that. I will also stop in the face care and hair care aisle and see if I see anything that matches the Neutrogena stuff. Or any hair coloring that might be similarly coded. I know that sometimes they have the code listed on the shelf tag.
WOW! Yeah, same here...I brought a guy home to meet dad and stepmom, and they both took me aside after 30 minutes of visiting with him and said, "LOSE HIM. He is a manipulator and an abuser." - so I trusted their instincts (usually my instincts are pretty good too, but not with this dude! Blinded by a cute face and lust I guess!) - 6 months later, I find out this dude is beating the fuck out of his new girlfriend on a daily basis, and controlling her life. She ended up committing suicide (don't know the reason why for a fact, but I speculate it's because that was her only final escape from this dirtbag). THAT could've been my life, and it makes me sick to my stomach every time I think about what would've happened to me, had I defied my parents.Jodi certainly had a way with words, and she was a lot easier for Travis to deal with, if he just paid attention to her, had sex with her, versus the goddamned endless headache of not complying with her wishes. She is fucking EXHAUSTING. I don't know how she was able to win so many guys over.
Btw, I was thinking that the NE in the code was not Neutrogena but Nice n Easy, as in the hair color?
I don't think she hurt her finger at all. And if she did, probably did it diddiling herself. Ayyyy papeeeee
