Very good point there. IF she had left the bathroom to run to the bedroom to get the knife or gun, she would've tracked bloody footprints back and forth with all the blood.

Of course, if she was able to leave the bathroom, when she claims Travis was attacking her, she could've easily fled down the stairs (which are right outside his bedroom) and down the stairs, and go outside.

Obviously her self-defense is complete bullshit, and the facts/evidence/common sense bears that out.

I do not think Travis was alive and abused her and hurt her finger. I think she hurt her finger when she was murdering Travis. Her finger very well be forever messed up and when she holds her hand up straight, it's more noticeable.

90 minutes after their last conversation, and with no sleep, she leaves her house on a massive 5 state road trip. It almost seems impulsive, doesn't it? After talking to him for almost an hour (maybe a long emotional or sexual conversation), she calls back right after, (maybe to say I'm on my way), and then packs up and takes off for Redding to rent the car.

Did she already have her bags and the gun packed? What did they talk about that night before she left? The way the events actually happened look spur of the moment and impulsive to me, and go against pre-meditated murder.

What's impulsive about 90 minutes? 90 minutes to make a decision, pack her bag, throw in the knife & gun, make a plan to rent a car & try to hide her gasoline purchases?

She planned long before 90mins. She plots a burglary to steal the gun a week earlier.
I think she decided in Arizona when her life went to hell and she had to crawl out of town and had no where to go but a dingy box at her grandparents. Most people down and out would be grateful for a roof over their head, a comfortable bed, meals to eat .. but not Jodi. She wanted the high life, the appearances ... without working for it.

She called him again at least two more times, and arrived at his house on June 2008, to borrow the cans.

Depending on when she first asked in May, that could be a week, weeks, or even a month's worth of premeditation.

From what I've heard from the legal talking heads on various talk shows, they recommend the prosecution keep it as short as possible. They believe that jury is tuned out and annoyed by the minutia and extraneous details of every day of Jodi's life since she became a teenager.

I'm conflicted. On the one hand, I can understand the jury getting bored with all this unrelated bullshit. But, on the other hand, I kind of want to see Martinez address all these issues and tear each any every one apart, so as to leave the jury no room for doubt.

Sadly, I don't believe the jury is willing to give the death penalty, for reasons that have already been outlined (people just don't want to commit to that ultimate judgment and ending of another's life). I think Life in Prison is the best hope.

I am afraid they will vote for something lesser and she will eventually get out on parole.

I wish that I was a juror on this case. In the end, the only thing that matters is "did she take his life?" Yes. "Did she HAVE to?" No.

I'm with you, I worry. Might as well call me schizo! One day I think Juan can handle it, the next he flubs up and trips over his words getting to overly upset, tossing evidence, screaming at witnesses.
His outbursts alone could alienate the jury! It could come down to who they hate more, coma Numbo or hyper Juan, but we know from past juries, they do let their likes and dislikes of the presenters cloud their decisions.

I want Juan to not only kick this liar in the teeth with evidence, I want him to not leave the jurors hanging. Why show the duct tape and not explain its signifigance? Why did he take up time pointing out every little thing like the office effing door? I don't know, maybe Nurmi isn't boring them at all but gaining that one idiot to feel sorry. Maybe Juan isn't the hot shot we wish but a great character to play a role.

Agree. And honestly, why would she badger Darryl for days, to borrow gas cans? Why couldn't she go buy them like anyone else would? First thought would be of course that she didn't want to be caught on camera buying gas cans. Or have a credit card receipt showing she purchased them.

I would guess 2 cans was not enough to get her through Arizona completely, so she took a chance and bought the 3rd can.

She may not have a duty to retreat, but if I'm on the jury and I'm supposed to believe that he was attacking her, my thought would be, well why didn't she run away? Why would she engage in what would amount to hand-to-hand combat?

Of course, I'm way to smart to believe that 27 stab wounds, a slit throat and a gun shot to the head is in any way, shape or form self-defense to begin with. I hope the jury feels the same way.

That could be a possibility, but I lean more towards that when her hand/fingers are relaxed, it's not noticeable, but when she flexes her hand up with all fingers straight up, you can notice the injury more. In my opinion, it won't matter much because she has no proof whatsoever that Travis ever physically abused her.

She is so highly deceitful, manipulative anything is possible with her. But her hands and fingers are lumpy, almost arthitic looking anyway. But soon as I saw that praticing in court, I knew its a con job.
Who in the hell EVER holds their finger like that in a natural way????!!!! Since then I have reviewed tapes and you can see her occasionally looking down toward her lap when she has that hand down there. IMO she's checking her 'practice'.

I watched Darryl's testimony again the other day, well worth a rerun. We get not only gas cans from him, but a history of butt sex and pictures in the shower. Just the shocks Juan gave hime that literally choked him into a whispers "yes" is entainment. How Jodi "change a lot". The false boob innocent maiden lol
and .. IF ... the jury is paying attention, he totally puked egg on JW's opening violin story of putting money down on a big mortgage for her dream blah blah. Turned out it was completely financed, Jodi bombed out paying early and was on the road to effing Travis without being responsible to even pay bills while she sits up there talking about high plans on seeing 1000 places travel dreams ... that cost money.

Yeah. I'm stuck on this one. I've noticed the same kind of behaviors coming from her. But, in the end, it just might not amount to anything, unless it can poke a hole in her physical abuse by Travis claim.
