She would have known how to shoot in low light settings without using a flash. I am guessing she had her camera on manual not auto (which in those settings would have automatically used the flash) But she didn't change her settings to expose the picture correctly. It's not hard to take pictures in low light without the flash. You just have to change the ISO, Fstop and shutter to get the correct exposure.
    go tiggrrl go tiggrrl! thanks
Only one I think was a flash is the last one of his face, looks like a flash reflection in his eye to me.
    It was a Sony H9 http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/sony/dsc_h9-review/
could the night shot button be consistant with what we have here?

There is a small light reflection in his eye but if it had been a flash it would have been in both eyes (with the way his head is positioned in relation to the camera) and the entire picture would have been lighter. Even if she lowered the flash output it still wouldn't have been so dark.
I'm not sure about the night shot button on the Sony. But on the Canon if you use the night portrait setting it still automatically uses the flash.

Okay, I understand now what happened & why it has to be premeditated.

I think it is a plastic 5 gallon kerosene "can". She was going to put gas in it.

As long as we're regurgitating... has anyone given much thought to Jodi's "broken" finger? Dr. Drew said it could be a swan finger. Or, she could be double jointed. I thought it was weird that she was staring at it herself as she held it up for the jury to see. I've been trying to catch pictures of it in a straight position since she's been incarcerated, and thought I've seen glimpses of it being straight. I don't know. It just bugs me.

Most likely happened during the attack.

This link is such a great resource to show you exactly how it went down: http://www.hlntv.com/slideshow/2013/...ragic-roadtrip

Look at the events the kick off the trip:
6/2/08 1-3am Jodi calls Travis 4 times, no answer
6/2/08 3am Travis calls back, they talk for almost an hour
6/2/08 4am Jodi calls Travis, they talk for 3 minutes
6/2/08 530am Jodi leaves her house and gets gas, drives to Redding
6/2/08 8am Jodi rents a car in Redding and begins her journey

90 minutes after their last conversation, and with no sleep, she leaves her house on a massive 5 state road trip. It almost seems impulsive, doesn't it? After talking to him for almost an hour (maybe a long emotional or sexual conversation), she calls back right after, (maybe to say I'm on my way), and then packs up and takes off for Redding to rent the car.

Did she already have her bags and the gun packed? What did they talk about that night before she left? The way the events actually happened look spur of the moment and impulsive to me, and go against pre-meditated murder.

I knew I was right thats the only way he couldnt have beat her ass before he died. I would think a man of his stature would fight off a knife welding crazy girl. She had to be on his back to slice his neck so deep w/o hesitation

Yes! And the Brittany Norwood case, also!

Norwood's assault lasted six minutes, and produced, on the dying victim, 332 wounds which included a severed spinal cord and 83 defensive injuries.

I've been thinking about making a collagel with all the photos and times. Not sure how to do it, but will work on it.
I have the black shoe on shower rail wrong there though! it's the baseboard I now believe.

I've never thought she ran around to get any weapon, there is nothing to support that. Absolutely no footprints or blood outside the bathroom and that one beginning carpet at the end.
Socks shoes whatever, there is no way imo you could trample around that scene killing in the time frames we have and not smear footprints / blood spots further onto the carpeting.

I'm not sure a flash was used in the beginning. I've only glanced at that camera manual but it had something about auto night or low light settings. Need to go over that better. Also, mMy DIL is into photography some and has taken a few photog classes from a pro. I'm going to see if she can lend some input to the condition / variance of these photos. They are out of the country for two weeks though so I don't want to bother her until they get back and settled a little.

I was hoping the prosecution would get a camera expert that knows this Sony. Or HLN wr one of those useless talking heads would get Sony to come talk for us.
Very good point there. IF she had left the bathroom to run to the bedroom to get the knife or gun, she would've tracked bloody footprints back and forth with all the blood.

Of course, if she was able to leave the bathroom, when she claims Travis was attacking her, she could've easily fled down the stairs (which are right outside his bedroom) and down the stairs, and go outside.

Obviously her self-defense is complete bullshit, and the facts/evidence/common sense bears that out.

It really seems like a daunting task to me, and I am greatly looking forward to it.

I hope that on cross examination of her, he is able to prevent her from straying off into her endless, excessively detailed rationalizations. Will he be able to force her to commit to answers. Or will she just manage to shape-shift her way around any actual confrontation.
From what I've heard from the legal talking heads on various talk shows, they recommend the prosecution keep it as short as possible. They believe that jury is tuned out and annoyed by the minutia and extraneous details of every day of Jodi's life since she became a teenager.

I'm conflicted. On the one hand, I can understand the jury getting bored with all this unrelated bullshit. But, on the other hand, I kind of want to see Martinez address all these issues and tear each any every one apart, so as to leave the jury no room for doubt.

Sadly, I don't believe the jury is willing to give the death penalty, for reasons that have already been outlined (people just don't want to commit to that ultimate judgment and ending of another's life). I think Life in Prison is the best hope.

I am afraid they will vote for something lesser and she will eventually get out on parole.

I wish that I was a juror on this case. In the end, the only thing that matters is "did she take his life?" Yes. "Did she HAVE to?" No.
