The voice mail Arias left Travis hours after she killed him:

"Hey! What's going on? It's almost midnight -- uh, anyway it's about the time you're starting to gear up. . . I know Leslie called you. So, I already talked to her so, uh -- you can call her back if you want but it's not necessary. Um . . . My phone died so I wasn't getting back to anybody. What else, um . . . I drove one hundred miles in the wrong direction -- over a hundred miles, thank you very much! So yeah. Remember New Mexico? It was a lot like that, only you weren't here to prevent me from going into the three digits, so -- fun, fun! I'll tell you all about that later. Um. Also --we were talking about -- um, when we were talking about your upcoming travels my way I was looking at the May calendar. Duh. So I'm a little confused. Um -- But Heather and I are going to see Othello on July first and we would love for you to come -- to accompany us. Um, I don't know when the Crater Lake event is though, but it's on the way, so we could do Shakespeare, Crater Lake and the coast. So . . . If you can make it. If not, we'll just do the coast and uh Crater Lake. But um, let me know -- and I will talk to you soon! Bye!"
I won't feel sorry for me, I'm getting drunk
But I'd much rather be somewhere with you

This creeps me out to no end. I'm wondering if you or anyone else knows about this...someone mentioned in an earlier post something about Jodi and Travis having a 40 minute phone conversation on June 4th. But didn't she turn her phone off in Pasadena and was that on the 3rd?

Not something you want the jury to hear when you are telling them, here's your kliller she's the only one. Especially when the killer weighs 115. Remember, some jurors have shit for brains. It's no wonder she follows with TWO ninjas.
When he was stumbling around ' we blow the pixels up' lol even I didn't believe him and Jodi was trying not to laugh. Cant blame her. There were a few others, I forget until I see them. Not that they matter, she's in jail and he gets to go home.
I know from watching many episodes of "Crime 360"-cops that are doing the questioning have one goal with a suspect. That's to get them to admit they committed the murder and why. If they can't get that...the second goal is to get the suspect to admit that they were there at the crime scene at that moment the murder happened.

Many cops explain that getting somebody to admit they were on the scene is almost as good as admitting the crime. With just that piece of information, they are usually always able to charge the person.
IMO, I think Flores wanted the truth, but he was willing to take Jodi just admitting she was there at the moment of Travis' murder.

Jodi's (ninja) story is not that uncommon at all. From all the shows I have watched of Crime 360 (and it's been most of them) usually one of theses happens.... The suspect lawyers up right away. The suspect says they were at the crime scene and either somebody else did it or it was self defense. The suspect admits to the murder.

The suspect lawyering up right away rarely happens. Usually the only ones that I see that ask for an attorney right off the bat are the hardened criminals that know the system.
Usually the suspect always says that a couple of other people did the crime, but they were there.

BTW, If anybody likes crime-Crime 360 is really good (but morbid) show to watch. It shows you in real time how a homicide cop works. It shows you from the minute the 911 call is made-all the way to the end. Just be warned-it is pretty graphic because it does show the dead body at the crime scene. Some of the crime scenes make me cry. But anyway, it does show you step by step how the whole investigation plays out in real time. Sometimes it is fast, sometimes there is nothing for months.

Wow....what a fucking psycho. I understand she was creating an alibi to cover her ass, but that's so creepy. Making plans, joking around. I found it eerie and telling on the line: "It was a lot like that, only you weren't here to prevent me from going into the three digits, so..."

Yes, I remember reading that as well! I wish they had a transcript of THAT phone call! It probably wasn't a bad conversation though, since he stayed up until the wee hours of the morning waiting for her to get there...I wonder if she acted a little differently on the phone, knowing the nightmare that would ensue. Every time I really let this case "in"...I get such a chilling, terrible and sick feeling in my whole body. The fact that she can just sit on the stand like that...explaining the details of her life in such a cavalier manner. SHE KNOWS WHAT SHE DID...and seems to have zero remorse. If I did this, I'd be puffy-eyed, every single day, having to relive awful texts I received, names I was called, explaining how I was raped more than once by someone I loved and trusted. WTF!!!! Sometimes to make myself feel better, I just come the conclusion in my own head, that the jury has already made up their fucken minds about this crazy hog. Anyway.....I DIGRESS.......

Her glasses are weird to me. Has anyone read whether she used to have contacts or if she's farsighted or whatever?

When I watch interviews pre-trial or whatever, she has this really scary sharp look when she is speaking someone. I'd be putting glasses on her to kind of, I dunno, muffle that creepy look. And she takes them off when she really wants to "connect" like when Lisa Udy was on the stand or when she is reading text close-up. I guess that makes her farsighted? I dunno, it just seems odd...what doesn't, though?

You know what's weird? The general consensus is that Jodi has these "half-truths" sprinkled into her unbelievably intricate lies. During the 1st interrogation video...Det. Flores continuously asks you, "why did you do this Jodi, I have to know." -- one time she said, "There's no reason...there is no reason I would ever hurt Travis. he never raped me..." -- RANDOMLY, with no prompting, she says he never raped her? No mention of abuse or raping...why would she say that?? There you go again. One of her TRUTHS mixed in there, yet now, we're being told to believe he anally and vaginally raped her. Performed oral sex on her while she was half asleep, degraded her every chance he got? I CALL SOME MAJOR BULLSHIT.

wasthinking was so right! 2nd interrogation video:

Detective Flores: "You HAVE to make this more believable Jodi, 'cause right now I don't believe you. You have to give me a motive."
    Jodi: "...ok...."

    WTF!! LOL

IFRC - wasn't the 40 minute phone call after she killed Travis? I believe she hacked into his voice mail and was reading/deleting messages on Travis's phone.

I too believe there are bits and pieces of the truth in her testimony. Like when she told the Ninja story - that Travis was screaming - but she added "...he wasn't screaming like a girl." Yep. I can imagine he was screaming. The horror of his demise is just unbelievable brutality.

I thought about that one too...that he was on the floor screaming in pain... Poor Travis.
I hate that there's no court on Fridays. WTF.

Looks like we can add one more thing to the list of Travis's offenses:

Travis did not posthumously prevent her from driving in the wrong direction.

...not like that part's true, but leave it to her to make it sound accusatory.

I guess this is the strategy for defendants -- turn them into homely, mousy, plain-Janes:

So how does the defense coaching the defendant process work do you guys think? For example, we all know the pedophile and abuse nonsense coming from Jodi is complete BS. Does Jodi come up with all of that herself? Does nurmi help her come up with this stuff? I always wondered what goes on between a defense attorney and client, for I have never been on the end of things in the courtroom.

Good question, I wonder this myself... I don't think her attorneys are allowed to create scenarios, or essentially, lie. I'm not sure...there seem to be quite a few folks on this forum that are very well-versed in the legal arena. I'd be very interested to know how they prepare!

Pywackett, I don't have the answer to how it all works, but Nurmi is clearly coaching the shit out of her. Especially since he specializes in defending sexual offenders. What a slug he is.

I too wonder what the defense attorney can say. I guess they can always get around it by suggesting scenarios in a clever way without actually really saying it. Nurni has already shown that he is quite adept at asking leading questions.

I only ask because I was on a jury for a 3 month trial once. And the so called alibis and explanations offered by the defense were pretty complex and clever and I was thinking that there is no way the two defendants (braindead gangbangers) could come up with it, so I assumed it was the work of their attorney.

I wonder the same thing. What are the limits to the defense's advice? I would love to hear if anybody knows!
