she came up with the two ninjas after being in prison for a while; her first alibi was she was not in Mesa since April. She was adament about that.

I will be getting up my courage to attend in person before this is over. I am just afraid of the nightmares I will have afterwards.

The slides aren't working for me. Says video not found.

In some pics the flash is reflecting off of the water drops as they fall from the showerhead and casting a shadow on him. I don't think those are taken through a door.

Ugh I agree with you. I think Wormi is going to try and drag things out all next week and try to skip out on any real details until the next week. I work from home next week so I was soooo ready for JM to be back up and things to start looking realistic again. Judge should seriously be up on her shots and take preventative measures from being sick during such a high-profile case. LOL.
I know!!!! I'm so glad you feel my pain!! LOL!! I know right?? totally irresponsible of this judge! PSHH!! I KNOW!!! So excited for JM to put things back into perspective for these poor mind-fucked jurors!!!!! He's going to come out swinging and within 10 minutes, he'll prove she's nothing but a 2-bit lying floozy. LOL! "...and you can mark my words on that one."

I wonder where she learned to shoot? Remember she told Flores she never shot a gun, right like that was the first time.
This was not a gunfight. Once Travis was down, she had enough time to collect herself and shoot him in the head, (after the camera stopped going off.). As far as the element of surprise goes we've also got to consider how long it took for him to get over his disbelief in seeing what she was doing. By the time he realized it, the knife was probably already buried in his chest.

You know what is ironic? I heard about MDS from that page. I first saw it at the beginning of the trial when there was only like 500 members. Didn't take me long to realize what a bunch of rude control freaks they were. I saw something there about MDS and decided to check it out. The rest is history.

Yes, micro, never thought about that way because it is second nature to me. The slighest movement, an eye pupil steadying (tells who the target of a drunken hand will be), the first lift of a finger (blood to follow). The lift of a shoe, bruises on their way. Some voices raise when anger builds, but beware! some get so quiet hell fire is going to breath out to punish.

I don't know. I thought everyone was like this. Even those I grew with, but had to learn they didn't have this quiet eye. I couldn't understand why everyone didn't see this way. Only to learn, I was the odd ball. People look but they see what they want to see and don't really look. I envy that sometimes but wouldn't trade my 'quite eye' for the world.

Try this, watch with the sound off first, then again with sound. Practice removing letting go of prejudgments Don't anticipate or try to predict. Just accept what you see like a blank slate. Learn how not to 'feel' their words with YOUR emotions. Observe without denial or preconceptions. Listen and watch! Now what do you see?

Wow...this is fascinating. I tried this tonight on Nancy Grace, watching some of the testimony from this week on mute. You really can see this little micro-expressions and vibes Jodi gives off without even having to hear her voice/tone. Hand gestures, turning up one corner of her mouth, swaying in her chair, touching her face, touching her hair...crazy what you can spot when you're not listening so intently! Thank you for my 101 on spotting the gestures! This is awesome, can't wait to spot more mannerisms. Either way, her nuances, gestures are NOT normal of people I associate with. She is so rehearsed and calculated. Anywho! Thanks again, cool stuff! You have a gift I would say! Might sometimes be a burden to you, but a lifesaving burden!!

Also found this for his invention:

Buyers Squawking Over `Home Of The Future'
September 27, 1997|By BRAD BENNETT Staff Writer

One night two years ago, as he snuggled into bed in his new home west of Boca Raton, David Sims told the voice-activated computer controlling his appliances to turn off the lights, lower the air conditioning and turn on the security alarm.

Then he drifted off to sleep. But at 2 a.m., his slumber was rudely interrupted by the thundering sounds of rapper Snoop Doggy Dogg blasting from the stereo speakers in his living room.

``I thought maybe some boom-boxing hoodlum group was breaking in,'' said Sims, 44, who regrets the day he agreed to pay about $8,000 for his electronic butler, which was included in the $175,000 price for his home in the Boca Chase subdivision.

``We were promised the Jetsons, and we got the Flintstones.''

Sims, his wife, Patricia, and neighbors Carl and Frances Diliberto sued the builder, Miami-based Lennar Corp., in Palm Beach Circuit Court this week, saying their complaints about the gadget were not addressed.

Their lawsuit, which they are seeking to expand to a class action to include other homeowners, suggests the United States may have a long way to go in perfecting the ``smart house'' depicted by the hit 1960s cartoon TV series The Jetsons.

While Lennar would not comment directly on the allegations in the lawsuit, company officials said many customers are satisfied with the system.

Nevertheless, the company said it has stopped installing the Mastervoice Butler in a Box system because so few of its customers could figure out how to use it.

``We're in the process of retrofitting quite a few of the homes,'' said Mark Shezory, Lennar's regional president.

``I don't want to say it's anyone's fault. As with all equipment, it's subject to fallibility.''

Lennar tapped into South Florida's yearning for a smart house in the early 1990s, heavily marketing its ``Home of the Future'' in Palm Beach and Broward counties, including those at its Coral Chase and Coral Isles projects west of Boca Raton.

Company brochures promised homeowners they could control most major appliances simply by speaking from almost anywhere in their homes, or remotely by phone. They could even place a phone call by merely uttering a person's name.

Instead, Sims and other homeowners said, barking dogs trigger expensive long-distance telephone calls, dropped silverware causes lights to go on and off, and sprinkler systems douse them unexpectedly in their yards, run up hundreds of dollars in water bills when they are not home or leave yards brown from lack of water.

Most frustrating of all, the homeowners said, they have found it difficult to disengage the system, which is hard-wired to most of their appliances.

While Shezory could not specify how many Lennar homeowners have had problems, 62 people in the Coral Chase and Coral Isles subdivisions have signed a petition circulated by Sims seeking redress from Lennar.

On Friday, Lennar officials unsuccessfully tried to work out a settlement with the Simses. Neither side would reveal details of that negotiation.

The plaintiffs are trying to build a class-action lawsuit to recover $5 million from Lennar for 700 homes they say have faulty automation systems in Palm Beach and Broward counties.

Sims, who owns a Deerfield Beach advertising company, said the installer of his system told him that Lennar put it into at least 700 other South Florida homes. Shezory said fewer than 700 were installed.

Sims' lawyers, Andrew Peretz and Jeffrey Sonn, said they have fielded dozens of complaints from residents west of Boca Raton, Delray Beach and Wellington in Palm Beach County, and Pembroke Isles and Grand Palms in Broward.

``The voice activation component was completely inoperable,'' Peretz said. ``All the homeowners stopped using it because it didn't work.''

Home buyers have no idea that there may be problems with the system until just before closing with Lennar and after they've put down a 10 percent deposit, the lawsuit claims.

Only then does the company provide home buyers with a notice suggesting there may be some problems with the system, the lawsuit claims.

The Simses, Dilibertos and four other homeowners in the same neighborhood _ Nancy Dodge, Tony Martini, Perpetua Galimba and Anthony Metichecchia _ say they've been trying for three years to work out the problems.

The product is ``a defective system that remains useless and inoperative,'' according to the lawsuit.

A spokesman for the company that makes the computers, Automated Voice Systems Inc. of Yorba Linda, Calif., said that the machines are not defective but that Lennar did not install them properly. A subcontractor now does the installation for Lennar, said Gus Searey, president of Automated Voice Systems.

``Lennar never did know how to make it work,'' said Searey, adding that Lennar should have provided proper training and customer service to help people use the system.

The lawsuit does not name Automated Voice Systems, but Sims' attorneys said they may add the company at a later date.

Homeowner rebellions are not new for Lennar.

One of the most recent controversies was at Lennar's Hampshire Homes development in Miramar, where homeowners lived with a half-acre pit in their back yards for 16 months after police and state officials removed 260 truckloads of construction debris and tires from the fill.

The dispute was settled this spring, when Lennar agreed to pay $10 million to the community of 307 homes. Lennar is the largest home builder in Florida and the fifth-largest in the country.

Many of us in this forum, his family and friends are watching his reputation and character being thrashed in ways that I am sure most of us would not want to endure. Travis was a victim, and now his loved ones are being victimized as well. It's just unbelievably tragic.
I would dare any attacker to put their worst time in life under a microscope. Every private word and action up on an Elmo for the world to see including your private body parts, what you did with them and with who. Then be striped of any privacy in every way and ripped apart for that. Most of what we are seeing and hearing was private, never meant to be public. Jodi won some over and gets what she aimed for.

Actually, it was 24 hour later... she had just spent one night in jail (still in California, thus the orange garb and not the stripes they have here in Maricopa County).

I don't think she slept much.

Did this video get posted yet? Apparently one of Jodi's classmates in high school released a sex taped convo between her and her high school boyfriend? Not sure how relevant it is ,but it gets a little strange and somewhat violent. At one point they even role play a murder type scene. Crazy shit and i wonder if this can be entered into evidence now. Who knows, i haven't been following the case that closely so maybe something like this has already been put in play.

And affirmative action is a very nice term for racial discrimination against better-qualified white people in jobs, employment, promotions and scholarships, and college admittance.

But she prepared the two Ninja story well in advance in the event that the police were able to disprove her denials that she was ever in Mesa in the first place. And they did find out. The pictures proved it. The two Ninja story was her fall back, along with the excuse for her earlier denials of ever having been there, because she said the Ninjas knew where she lived and threatened to harm her family. She then said one Ninja had a knife and the other had a gun. Proof? Travis was both stabbed and shot. She first came out with the two Ninja story in the prison interview she had with 48 Hours, (well maybe the other TV program just before it -- I'll have to check.

Hi everyone, I finally had to join so I could participate in this particular thread. I first learned about this case when the 48 Hours episode originally aired and it has had my attention ever since (I am a true crime fanatic). I only recently found this forum, but LOVE the discussion here- very witty and insightful, and full of details.

Some of my main questions/thoughts that persist about this case are:

    1. What were the phone calls that Jodi and Travis had in the early morning hours of June 4th about? I think one was listed as being 41 minutes long.

    2. I think it was quite brazen of Jodi to commit this crime in a house where she knew other people lived, and in which she would have no idea when those people would be home.

    3. I have to believe that putting the camera in the washing machine was an accident on her part. With all the other types of planning she took, it just makes absolutely no sense that she wouldn't take the camera with her and plan to destroy it somewhere out in the desert. Without that camera and the pics on it, it seems it would have been MUCH MUCH harder to link this girl to the crime. I mean they would have her palm print on the wall, and a hair, and could probably charge her based on that, but it really astounds me that she was stupid enough to take pictures and then leave the camera there.

    4. I believe one of Travis's roommates said he came home from work on the night of June 4th. I think he said around 6pm, but maybe he said later. Does anyone know? Its very disturbing to know that he could have actually come home and heard this whole event taking place.

Last, I want to say that if any of Travis's friends or family were to ever read this, I would want them to know that I feel horrible about what happened to him. I think it is just absolutely sickening what this woman did to him. Regardless of any faults he had, NO ONE deserves to be killed, and certainly not in such a heinous manner. He sounds like he brought a lot of good things to many people's lives, and it is just so unfortunate that he had to cross paths with this chick. Just random bad luck there.

the beta photobucket does that error sometimes, just try again and it will work. Don't click on the arrows for some reason the beta doesn't like that either. Just start it and let the video slides play out.

I don't even want to debate which came came first, stabbing or gun shot. I've already stated my belief based on what the Medical Examiner concluded from the autopsy (stabs, then slit throat, then gun shot.)

It doesn't really matter to me. Either way, she killed him three ways. All in a very brutal and torturous fashion.

There are a few other things I think are inconsequential to the case.

One is if Travis was a sinner or a saint. Either way it doesn't change the facts that Jodi murdered him in cold blood.

Another thing that has become the focus of this trial is their sex life. It seems obvious to me that Travis and Jodi both liked to get their freak on with each other. This does not make Jodi more or less guilty. This does not make Travis more or less deserving of being murdered. I am sick of hearing about their three hole sex life, their sex tapes , nude pics, and sexual history.

I can't wait until Martinez takes this trial back to where the focus should be. Jodi, with premeditation, murdered Travis in cold blood because if she couldn't have him, no one else would either. The evidence supports this. All the rest is just distractions to try to get the focus off of Travis' murder.

Just random bad luck there.

i thought she went with the "I was not in Mesa" alibi from the CA interview, and the two intruders did not come up until 48 Hours, and after that in a jail interview in Phoenix. it is way too much to keep track of.
