Sigh - I missed everything after the phone call due to bad family news. Sigh. A while back I mentioned my sister-in-law who has extreme Narcissistic Personality Disorder and exhibits MANY of the same characteristics as Jodi. Well, apparently she pulled a loaded gun on my brother. I'm terrified that I might end up in the same position Travis' sisters are in right now. Just feeling that possibility makes me way more heartbroken for them. Dear God, please don't let that happen and don't let the children come to harm. Sorry to vent here, but it seemed ironically like a fitting place.
This makes me all the more want justice for Travis. If I had to sit through my SIL not only having murdered my brother but then to defile him in every other way (which she would because that's what NPD people do - everything is the other person's fault and never their own). I don't think I could keep my cool like his family is now. I think they have shown great class!I hope everything comes out ok.

He had to fly to Sacramento for work today, but will have to go back to their house to get his things and the kids tomorrow. I just went and had him a key made to our house so he can stay with us and the kids too - I don't know how the kid situation will work out, but I don't want them there. I hope she wouldn't, but I fear the idea of her using the kids to hurt him or actually hurting the kids. I'm hoping he allows me and the hubs to go with him to the house just to make sure she doesn't try anything (and I will definitely have my husband bring his gun just in case - I pray it stays in its holster, but maybe the presence will be enough to keep her from doing anything stupid).
And my brother is SUCH a good man. Like, there aren't many husbands like him in the world - makes a good living, very loving, involved in the family, great with the kids, cleans the house, spoils her rotten...etc.
Ugh, tearing up. Bless Travis' family, how did they deal with going through it actually happening. I'm terrified just at the prospect. WHY do people do stuff like this - and to people they love?!?!

Thank you Rae. Me too! Thankfully he has a very loving and supportive family - heck, we all immediately said, "bring the kids and stay with us" so he had three local houses to choose from! Lol. So, he will have a lot of love, support and help for him and the kids and I hope that will make a difference for all of them. I just hope she'll keep her distance and not do anything extreme when they have to be around each other.
I still say somebody has got to find a still from the day the erection was up on all the viewers in the courtroom and ppl were trying to avoid looking at it. I'm sorry but that shit is just funny.

Heck, I work for an estate planning law firm, I should ask them if you can do that. They might think I'm paranoid and crazy, but whatev!haha I will totes get Juan on the job. This all exploded from a counseling session where he actually mentioned some of the things she does. She just couldn't except that, and was angry he didn't blame his family instead (she always makes my parents the enemies even though they are wonderful parents). So, I believe you are completely right!!! She would rather destroy her family and injure my brother than admit she is at all at fault! (She has also physically strangled him and one time punched him so hard in the face that SHE had to go to the hospital because it broke her fingers). I worked so hard to love her, and now its hard not to hate her.

I read somewhere that the family gave the okay, so they are really brave but must have figured maybe the jury needed to hear Hodi. Let's hope they were right.

Good for you!!! Paralegals are always in demand - especially good ones. I hope you get a law firm as great as mine - the people (including the attorneys) are wonderful and the company is really good! When do you finish the program? Do you have a preference in type of law firm/ practice area?

Beantown Bitch- maybe it was an accident. I had to apologize to another poster the other day. I was trying to rep them but the site freaked out and kept throwing me into a new tab. After about three tries, it said "thank you for deducting reputation from this user." :( Oops!
Chelsea, so sorry to hear about you SIL problems. Keep 911 on speed dial and don't hesitate to call if she shows up. The cops will probably not arrest her unless she does something, but they can tresspass her from the house, which means if she comes back to your house again, they will arrest her. That has been my personal experience anyway. I have had to do that and the Mesa cops were great. Usually the threat of arrest is enough to keep the person away.
