I was not able to share my thoughts as I was watching because I was away from home. So, I will share a few thoughts now. :) This is long...feel free to skip it all. I just have to share some thoughts that I had while I was watching via my phone in my car. (Most times I only had audio...not sure why.)
-Jodi talked about being woken up to oral sex. If that is abusive, sign me up!!!
-It's underwater, so it doesn't count. Really Jodi? Really?
-The tootsie roll executives are having a heart attack right now. They are hoping they don't have to add a warning label about misusing their product.
-I love how Jodi keeps coming up with new "abuse" stories. It is obvious she is trying to remember what she told Nurmi.
-Romantic bath with roses and candles. Wow, he really is a jerk. Good thing she killed him.
-Jodi is telling the "story" about the toys in the room. First she says "He didn't ask me to do anything with them. He dropped it." After more prodding from Nurmi she starts saying how they used the train caboose (it would have to be a caboose, wouldn't it?) as a massage device, running it all over their bodies. She contradicts herself SO many times. Way too many to keep track of. This is just one example.
-After listening to the sex tape, Jodi had a distinct negative tone about Travis. She KNOWS that the tape made her look bad and made him sound sweet and nice. She said Travis made her record the call and in the past when she messed up the recording, he was mad. If that is the truth, we would have heard Travis say something like, "are you still recording this?"
-She made the comment that Travis "pawned" off his car on her. What a lying bit**. She defaulted on her car loan and had no credit to get another vehicle. He set her up with $100 per month payments on his BMW. How is that pawning it off on her? I guess maybe because she ruined it and still had to pay? Yeah, Travis is such a jerk for that. (Sarcasm) I remember her telling Flores that she ruined Travis' car and how wonderfully understanding he was about it.
-Jodi said she had to build up her courage to take nudie pics. Yeah right. She was a total freak. I'm convinced she needed no encouragement and in all likelihood pressured Travis to participate in exchanges.
-Referring to Jodi's claims that Travis made her try to look like a little girl/boy during sex. She says he made her wear little boy's spiderman underwear (remember, she said yesterday that they were way too small and too tight in the leg holes, but now she is wearing them all of the time???), wear her hair in braids, wear a school girl outfit, and what else, she "can't remember"....this from a girl who claims to remember EVERYTHING. Yet she can't remember what else he made her wear to look like a little boy or a little girl? More like she can't think of anything else to make up.
-Nurmi gets us right to the point of the sex video on the day of the murder. And then what does he do? He starts backing up and going over things already discussed. I REALLY feel that he wants to take this full week. He does not want to give Martinez questioning Jodi a chance to be the last thing that the jury hears before the weekend break. What a douche. He goes all the way back to Oct 2006 and rehashes the weekend in Erinberg (sp?)...what is the point? Other than to stall.
-When Nurmi asks Jodi about the comment on the sex tapes about Travis tying her to a tree, Martinez objects and says something about "the part where she liked it?" or something along those lines. I loved that!! Nurmi was SO angry about it. I think he pooped his pants because he was so angry. He does NOT have a very good poker face. Dude wears every little emotion on his sleeve.
-Jodi said Travis liked to be complimented. Yet she was the one who got off on the sex tape when he was talking about her. She said the comment about "so debasing....I like it!" was only because she didn't want to insult him. Yeah right. She is such a horrible liar.
-She said talking about the orgasm sounds were embarrassing. Look at her body language while she is describing this to the jury. She is bright eyed, and completely facing them. This is NOT how someone looks when they are embarrassed or ashamed.
-Masturbating requires two hands??? That's news to me. Of course I guess it makes sense if you are involving the booty hole.
-Jodi said Travis was really mean to her during this time period. NOPE. He was super nice to her. Told her she was hot, and so beautiful, he's never seen her look bad, she is so photogenic, etc. He was VERY complimentary to her. Not mean or insulting or abusive at all.
-At one point Jodi puts both hands on her face and leaves them there. It was a very awkward position. Wonder what that was about?
-She says he backhanded her. Then she says, no he didn't hit her in the face. Then she says it was in the chin or neck. She can't even keep her own lies straight. I bet even Nurmi was like, "WTF Jodi!! You are making this way too hard for me."
-She keeps implying that there are more abusive incidents. Then she says that she doesn't consider them abuse. Why bring them up then?
-Then she wants to talk about how much money she loaned Travis. I highly doubt that. Seriously. She was the one who couldn't make ends meet, had already defaulted on a house loan and a car loan, and was waitressing while trying to get started in PPL. Travis was making good money and was paying her $200 a month to clean his house. She makes absolutely no sense. My guess is that those checks are repayments for money she borrowed from him.

I didn't get to listen to Jodi's whole testimony today because I have crappy reception at the gym but did she say at one point that eventually they just started having peen in the vag sex regularly? Doesn't this contradict with her story yesterday that they only did it a couple times and the rest was basically anal?

Hey everyone.. Haven't posted in a few days.. can't stand Jodi and her bullshit lies. Today did nothing for the defense. It made Travis into a real person and not a picture. He had an amazing voice and the things that he said to Jodi on the phone were not of a "sexual deviant" but a guy who was kind, funny, sweet, horny and NORMAL. From the sound of that phone call, he wasn't unkind to Jodi. It seems like he really cared about her.
I think she did all of the stalker-ish shit... but I don't think he feared her. I don't think he thought she would ever really hurt him. This tape was upsetting to me because although I have heard his voice on his PPL things that are on youtube, him being 'sexy' and funny and loving made him such a real person who cared enough about Jodi at one point to do romantic things for her.. and she brutally MURDERED him in that same bathroom and hallway.

I don't know if this had been discussed, because I am fairly new to this site.....and there are MANY messages that I've been scrolling back on and trying to catch up! But, one thing that haunts me? Those last photos of Travis that Jodi took in the shower and the ones that were accidentally snapped when the camera dropped? The last photo of Travis, as he is staring straight into the camera. There is that look in his eyes, like he is trying to absorb something that has unnerved him.......the shower door is closed. Then there are pictures of Travis sitting in the shower, shortly after. I'm assuming these were taken when the camera began to drop......in these, the shower door looks open. Yet, Travis is obviously still sitting on the floor of his shower. His position hasn't changed at all. Then the ones of the hallway, and his body. He didn't have any friggin TIME to attack her, as she is claiming! I believe he looks into the camera the way he does, because he looks up to see her pointing a gun at him. She opens the shower door, still holding the gun. That would explain why he is not moving at all.....he is scared to death. I believe THAT is when she ambushes him with the knife to his chest. He is caught totally off-guard. It does not get any more pre-meditated than that! The jury will not be able to ignore what those photos spell out for them, no matter wtf Jodi says.
