Its my opinion that after their "session", there was an argument. Probably about the trip. She probably thought their little romp changed things. "I" believe she stormed out and he got in the shower. She went to the car for the weapons. I think the shower pics caught him by surprise. Maybe she wanted them to show other girls.. to "ruin" things for him. Blackmail. He probably did grab at the camera. Maybe she really did drop it. Im not sure what the autopsy says about the gunshot, but the casing is on top of the blood, so he was attacked first. What I am sure of is that first blow did enough damage that he couldn't fight back. I believe his fight or flight took over and he tried to get away. I think the frenzy came when he didnt die as quickly as she anticipated. Thats when the flurry of stabs came in. Once her adreneline got her to that point she couldnt stop. I guess the gun shot was for good measure. Who knows?

The part I can't understand was hearing that her cell phone pinged in kingman around 630? (I think that was the time). There is no way to get from mesa to kingman in an hour. No way. Period. Kingman is just before the nevada border. At least a 2.5 hour drive. Maybe the time stamp on the camera was off? Maybe I heard in error. I dont know. I just know that isnt possible. I have made that drive many times.

Just caught up on this board after a few days of not being able to...lesson learned not to do that anymore! I know I'm new to MDS, but just a few observations of my own after reading the last several pages I missed:

1. We all get that Travis wasn't a saint, but it gets so old hearing that he was a "dick." He was a normal guy who was trying to find his way in the world...not unlike all of us on these boards or on this planet, i suspect.I consider myself to be an overall good person who truly tries to do the "right thing", but I fuck up all the time, just like everyone else. I make mistakes and poor choices, but I hope I learn from them and am better for it. Travis wasn't any different, people. He had over 1000 people that attended his funeral, and even more that say he was one of the good guys. Not one credible person has said any differently. Was he perfect? Hells no, and it's obvious from his writings that he was painfully aware of this. So...did he make poor choices sometimes? You bet. But, a "dick" because he used Jodi for sex? Shit, that just makes him a single guy.
2. Jodi is a conniving bitch who knew exactly what she was doing from the beginning. It's well documented and her own defense even stated that she wasn't happy with her financial situation at the time with her live- in ex boyfriend who wasn't ever going to bring in the big bucks. Within a week of meeting Travis and seeing the potential life she could live, she dumped her boyfriend (and his little boy,no less) after 4 years together, and her sights were set on Travis. To cover up her glaring inadequacies, she starts liking everything he likes, doing everything he does, writing like he writes, etc. 2 months into their relationship, she converts to Mormonism thinking that'll do it. When she couldn't get him pinned down that way, she used her pussy to try to snag him for good. Should he have said no and not fucked her? Sure. But make no mistake here, Jodi was no victim here. Ever. When the church and the pussy didn't work, she made a choice to kill him versus letting him go (and he suffered horribly before she finished him off.) She couldn't bait him, couldn't snag him, couldn't land him...and she was desperate and pissed.
3. I was molested for almost 10 years as a child into my early teens, so I totally understand the anger about the pedos who prey on defenseless kids like myself and countless others...but shit people. Why are there pages and pages of people fighting with each other over whether child molestors are worse than murderers? They are all bottom feeders, total pieces of shit...you're ALL right. But truthfully, to come back after a few days to read the arguments galore about which is worse is craziness, not because there are differing opinions, but because there are a few that just hit below the belt when they're being called out. I still don't get why that argument has anything to do with this thread, but whatever. Spend pages disagreeing about it, but there are a couple of folks that just take it too far and make it personal. You can disagree without being an ass ( I would think, although I'm a newb and it hasn't taken me long to figure out the few who are going to consistently be shitty.)

I have so much more to say but I'll shut up now...just had to say that Travis is the victim here, not Jodi. Period. End of story.

I really do not like the way Glasshat has taken over this board by attacking anyone who doesn't have the same opinion as him/her/it. It's totally pathetic and attention seeking. The sad thing is that we all answer him/her/it's posts because they are so abrasive, opinionated and mean. They admit that they have problems with people because they come across as brass, but they do nothing to change that part of their personality, instead they come to this board, whip it into a frenzy and then disappear for a bit only to come back. I think they can't act like this much of an asshole in their real life cause someone would for sure kick their ass, so they come here because they can sit behind a screen.
Personally, I have blocked him/her/it because they aren't worth my time. I would like to suggest that others do the same. Any person who has not been molested, nor had a close friend/family member murdered yet thinks that molestation is WORSE than murder, really has opinions that AREN'T worth listening to. To tell others that have had this happen to them that IT hopes they don't have children is offensive and just them being the ASSHOLE they can't be in real life. What bothers me is that IT also attacks everyone else when they don't agree...

That judges schedule is super busy, so I don't blame her for being excited for lunch. It just sucks for all of us who are only watching this and not paying attention to her other dockets. I hope defense admits it was Jodi's hard drive... And if they don't, I hope JM tears this theory to shreds.

Good point! I didn't think of that. All I know is either the time line or the time stamp on the camera is off. Also, from greater Phx area to Utah is apprx. 9-10 hours if you make no stops and the weather/traffic is decent. It takes us 12 with the kids. What time did she get to Utah, anyone recall?

Side note on the camera and the discussion about flash/no flash because most pics are dark... Its very possible the flash wasn't recharging itself as fast as she was taking pics. It usually takes a few seconds to regenerate itself, especially is she was taking a lot of pics.

I think a crime of passion argument would have played better. Argue:

B. Jodi changed herself, gave up who she was and what she believed for Travis. She converted to his religion, she had sex when and where and how he wanted. She posed for pictures and took pictures because that's what he wanted. She moved from her home to be close to Travis
C. Travis tossed her aside for someone (several someones?) else. Not only is he betraying Jodi, he's going to end up destroying someone else, Jodi can see it coming.
D. She comes to Travis (bringing the gun for protection on the trip) to try to convince him that he's breaking her heart... destroying what they could have together, he talks her into doing the nasty and some more pictures, then tells her it's over. She flies into a rage. Really doesn't remember what happened next. Next thing she knows, she's back on the road, or maybe even in bed with what's his name, She calls and calls but Travis doesn't answer...

I'm not saying this is what really happened, but I think it's closer to the truth than self defense, and more likely to sway the jury.

How people have come to the conclusion that those pictures were recovered from an email travis sent Jodi is beyond me. Old emails aren't normally stored on external hard drives. Pictures, however, are. Therefore if it was only the picture there is no way anyone can determine, just from the penis itself, who it belongs to. I'm sure the defense had a "professional penis assessment" conducted to verify the validity of that being Travis' penis.
