I feel like they are going to say Jodi was totally under Travis' influence. That she left this perfectly happy stable life with this guy out of the blue cause travis wanted her to. She gave up her life and he dumped her.

It would be good for her defense to show that she was in a relationship prior where the man didn't want to marry her and she didn't go ballistic. My impression is that it was something about the dynamic of the relationship with Travis that made her feel desperate and obsessed - the fact he was using her for sex but not willing to marry her. I know I've been in relationships before where I'm emotionally stable and other relationships where the guy was doing things that provoked me to feel more turmoil. Doesn't mean it's an excuse to do what she did, but she could have had ability to carry out a normal relationship with another man without murdering him.

I think a difference there is this dude had a kid. Travis did not (may have prevented her).
She was the one that turned away from this dude, Travis turned away from her for another woman.
