    Did this happen recently or is this from years ago?

    I dont know. I figured its from awhile ago. I guess I will try and watch NG later. A co-worker of Jodi's is going to be on JVM tonight. She is going too say there was something creepy about Jodi way before she murdered Travis.

I was looking at the thread on the day that the not-guilty verdict happened and there wasn't as much activity as this trial/thread as gotten already.

    I think there was a lot lost during one of the crashes.

    I was trying to google info on that and found this instead: "Jodi Arias On Trial For Boyfriend’s Murder, Nancy Grace Insufferable"

    "...Jeffrey Dahmer... actually confessed and accepted his punishment. Had real remorse for the sick things he did. It's pretty bad when Jeffrey Dahmer is a better person than you are." ~Justice11 (re: Jodi Arias)

    I see,just looked it up."Murder in the First Degree includes the lesser crimes of Murder in the Second Degree,

    A killing that is excusable or was committed by the use of justifiable deadly force is lawful.

    If you find Caylee Marie Anthony was killed by Casey Marie Anthony, you will then consider the circumstances surrounding the killing in deciding if the killing was Murder in the First Degree or was Murder in the Second Degree or Manslaughter or Third Degree Felony Murder whether the killing was excusable or resulted from justifiable use of deadly force"

    I think this supports my theory on why they went with "self defense". She had to admit to killing him in order to get the judge to allow the jury to rule on lesser included offenses.

    Just throwing this out there.. I dislike Martinez. He's not personable and he's a dick. Sure, he's got a job to do and you can do it without being a dick. Just flipped over to JVM and they're all discussing on there how he's going to alienate the jury with his attitude. He will absolutely do that if he doesn't watch himself. Furthermore, you don't get that pissed off and smartassy in a courtroom unless you feel your case is threatened. That witness can harm his case and he knows it. I don't want to see Jodi get off, but if he don't slow his fucking roll they just might acquit her because they hate his ass.

    I worry about that too. He does need to be careful. I've never seen him in action before on any of his other death penalty cases so I don't know if this is how he regularly acts but I hope the jury doesn't hate him.

    Right. The states vary so much. So in Florida, it's an option right from the jump with those charges?

    I just want to tell you that when I lived in NM my neighbor was attacked by his wife. Blind-sided by her with a stab to the stomach. He was 250 lbs., she was 120 lbs. He went down immediately. She admitted to never being abused by him and just flipped because she was home sick and snapped. You may not believe she could have done this alone, but you are among the minority with that opinion. Time to own up to the fact that you could get your ass handed to you by a petit woman!

    (Sorry it's delayed - I've been working on school!)
    1) She only stabbed him once, didn't go apeshit on him, correct?

    2) Good luck with school.

    3) Is this woman currently single and out of prison?

    Check #6
    In 1973, following the U.S. Supreme Court decision in Furman v. Georgia, the Arizona State Legislature enacted A.R.S. ? 13?454, setting forth the state's procedures for death penalty cases. The statute provided for a separate sentencing hearing to be held before the trial court, rather than a jury, and enumerated six aggravating circumstances that could be considered in deciding whether to impose a death sentence. Between 1978 and 1993, the Legislature codified four additional aggravating circumstances.
    Capital crimes

    The following aggravating circumstances constitute capital murder in the state of Arizona:[1]

    prior conviction for which a sentence of life imprisonment or death was imposable;
    prior serious offense involving the use or threat of violence;
    grave risk of death to others;
    procurement of murder by payment or promise of payment;
    commission of murder for pecuniary gain;
    murder committed in an especially heinous, cruel, or depraved manner;
    murder committed while in custody;
    multiple homicides;
    murder of a victim under 15 years of age or of a victim 70 years of age or older; and
    murder of a law enforcement officer.
