It's so funny reading these posts from back in 2008 and 2009. The ninja theory had just evolved...Ron was still thinking she was innocent, some weird guy prophesied weird stuff, every few pages there were debates about if she was hot or not, people were dying to see all the pics that we have all seen now, and a few very clever people thought she'd eventually plead battered woman/self-defense. I find it very interesting when there is an occasional post from someone who knew Jodi or Travis personally.

nope... that screws up the system. that's why the dp sucks so bad - it disqualifies impartial people from judging cases. i would have no problem saying 'yes, based on the evidence, this person is guilty and deserves such and such punishment...' so long as if it turns out the evidence was wrong, or new evidence comes out proving his/her innocence, it won't be too late to correct the problem.

if you can't be 100% sure that 100% of those sentenced to die are 100% guilty, then you are probably killing some innocent people. no bueno. even 1 innocent death is too much.

what i also have a problem with is giving someone i think is 100% guilty a lesser verdict, just because i fear they will be killed. it skews the system and does not serve justice. also, i'd have to perjure myself to even be considered as a juror. the only way they'd let me on was if i said that i could consider the dp as a punishment.

I agree...Casey was scary mean to her "friends" and family...I wouldn't want to get in a fight with her. Jodi seems more like typically sociopath...she seems to lack genuine emotion and compassion. It's like she is imitating what real emotions are.

This makes me think about that couple from 48 hours, Sky and someone. I think they lived in the Palm Desert area (760 shout out!) and let the two of them meet up at their house. Sky said in the doc that she asked Travis "Is she for real? Is she really this nice?" Personally, I think she is a sociopath and she was used to acting nice to get her way. Also, growing up in a heavily Mormon community myself, I was often in and around the church. My friends were so squeaky clean and sweet, and when I was with them I really cleaned it up too. Many of my secular friends said it was two faced, though it wasn't meant to be that way. It just felt bad to curse or whatever around people who didn't. Kind of a "when in Rome" type thing. It wasn't fake, but perhaps a mask. Which is what I thought of many of my friends growing up in that community. They hid their troubles well, and the surface was a very clean image. I think Jodi easily adopted that mask when she was with those people. There was no need to be nasty, when being nice got you what you wanted. Until it didn't, and then Travis paid the ultimate price. Because it was just a mask to her, not a core belief system.

Although, I do wonder if she knew about the history of the church and blood atonement... Just sayin'...

I'm surprised the roommates haven't been called to testify, or the couple that was in 48 hours that supposedly had a weird feeling about Jodi and wouldn't allow her to be around their children. The thing that still bothers me with the roommate that was there is did he not ever wash laundry in those 5 days to see all the blood and the camera? Both are more plausible than this little girl hulking out and basically butchering a grown man to death all by herself.

Same here. Yet we just voted to keep the DP in Ca... :/ I just don't understand how I have any right to influence the decision of death of another person. I believe in euthanasia, but I do not believe in death as punishment.

Fair enough. If I'm being honest, I'd say that I am a bit confused about the premeditation part, versus her strength. It seems premeditated, but then that kind of cancels out my idea of adrenaline giving her the strength to do the job. Maybe it doesn't, but it seems less likely. However, I do think she did it, and did it alone. I just don't know much more than that.

And OMG I have know a lot of Mormon women that are fakey fake nice. I don't think they mean to be, but it's how they are brought up and it gets them what they want easier. I don't think premediatation cancels out the adrenaline rush. She probably waited until he pissed her off and was very angry before she did it. She may have had different scenarios in her head too, like, if he acts this way, he lives, if he acts that way, he dies. Then he acted that way and OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU SAID THAT DIE MOTHERFUCKER

She could have also panicked when it got super messy instead of just dying in the shower and washing all the blood away. I keep thinking... I'm about her size, but maybe 10 pounds heavier. I can't imagine doing what she did, but I think I could probably move the amount of weight she did. It wouldn't be easy, but I don't think it was easy for her. Hence the blanket and the lost camera in the wash and all that.
