I believe that is the whole reason that the defense was trying to get a mistrial. Because Flores mistakenly said that Travis was shot first. However they were denied because the ME presented the manner of death.

drom what i have been reading the fact that he was shot last after he was dead is a huge point of the prosecutor wants to get her convicted - the defense is trying to say that he was shot first - outta self defense - he kept coming and then she had to be stabbey - its only murder 1 or felony murder - so they have to prove it was premeditated and extreme cruelty - not just crime of passion or overkill, becuase that would be 2nd degree murder or manslaughter and they aren't on the table

He was stabbed in the heart while in the shower, I think he stumbled to the sink and coughed up blood. All while she is stabbing him all over his back, neck and head. At some point he fights and gets the defensive wounds. He stumbles around the hallway and drops at the end of it. This is where she straddles him and cuts his neck open, killing him for sure if he already wasn't dead at this point, which sadly I hope he was. She then drags him back to the bathroom, stands over him and shoots him in the head to stage something, who knows wtf she thinks and then put him in the shower, probably closed the shower door. Haphazardly tried to clean up the mess by dumping water from a cup all over the floor and ditched the cup with his body (as well as rinsed him off). Did her fuckery with the laundry and listened to his voicemails.

I could be wrong but I think the amount of blood at the end of the hall where his throat was slit proves that he was alive but hopefully he was passed out by then.

It made sense that he was shot last. Why bring a knife with you to murder him if you were going to shoot him first? Just in case? Wouldn't you use the whole round of bullets (if it was loaded with more) to kill him if you were only going to shoot him? Just makes sense that he was shot last.

This is pretty much how I think it happened--although I think she shot him just to be 100% sure he was dead.

I think the poor man wasn't dying quick enough for Jodi. I think he was still moving, screaming, trying to walk, etc....and she wanted to make sure it was done. He could have been stabbed anywhere and still been alive for a few minutes. Probably made her think she didn't do a good job. I think she used the gun to end him moving and to make sure it was done.

Yeah I think she wanted him to FEEL every stab, which is why she stabbed so much and then shot.

Yeah, I always thought she shot him first, then the gun jammed so she got a knife. Mainly because she said during the 48 Hours episode that the "masked intruder's" gun jammed, so I thought she was mixing fact with fiction. Also, it would explain how she overpowered him.

I thought perhaps the camera accidentally got wrapped up in the sheets when she went to go throw them in the washing machine and she couldn't find it when she left.
