i'm not blaming him for getting murdered, but as far as a legacy... we all could die at any time and whatever we have done up to that point is our legacy. no one's is going to be perfect but just because someone was murdered doesn't mean they've never made a mistake. he had things to be proud of and things that he probably wouldn't have been proud of looking back. i think whitewashing someone's life because they've died is more offensive than acknowledging the things they struggled with and mistakes they made. that gives other people something to learn from rather than "oh he was a perfect person everyone loved him no one ever had a problem with him" like people tend to do when someone dies.

I actually agree with this, but then I've been stalking that godawful censored State Vs Jodi Arias page on FB, where it seems 99.9% of the posters think Travis should be nominated for sainthood and a couple of posters even going so far to suggest Travis didn't look happy in the sexy-time pictures and maybe Jodi was holding him at knife or gunpoint and FORCING him to have sex with her. OMFG...craziest people ever on that site.

Travis had an apparent 2-year full-blown, sex-included affair with Jodi. He wasn't an altar boy and was succumbing to those dreaded "sins of the flesh" like most other guys do. His behavior and choices led to his ultimate early demise. Not that he deserved to die for it (much less be savagely butchered), but his actions do make his blogs seem very hypocritical when I read them. It reminds me of my parents old expression to which I was always subjected growing up: "Don't do as I do, do as I say" type of crap.

While I don't think he deserved to be butchered for the choices he made regarding his situation with Jodi, I also don't believe he has no accountability for said choices. He played with fire, and you know what the outcome of that usually is...
