I know I'm late to the party, but I finally watched the motion for mistrial on the grounds of misinformation from the detective. What confuses me is that the defense wanted a mistrial. If anything, the mix up with the detective helped them, not hurt them. The defense is going to pain the detective as lacking credibility.
