That's an easy one Joe Tacopina is an attention whore and probably begged them to let him be their lawyer.

Baby Lisa's mother 'drank up to 10 glasses of wine on her stoop the night her daughter vanished'

Baby Lisa's mother drank five to 10 glasses of wine and smoked cigarettes with a neighbour before going to sleep drunk on the night Baby Lisa vanished, it was claimed today.

Deborah Bradley, 25, whose 10-month-old daughter has been missing for almost a month, consumed a box of wine on the stoop of her home after Lisa's father Jeremy Irwin left for his night job, according to the Kansas City Star.

It was unusual for Mr Irwin to be away from the house in the evening, but he had taken on a second job to help with family bills.

Ms Bradley admitted earlier this month that she had consumed enough wine to be intoxicated the evening of October 3, but strongly refuted the suggestion she had harmed her daughter, saying she did not 'think alcohol changes a person enough to do something like that.'

Now details reported by the Kansas City Star from a family source, give a clearer picture of what happened in the Kansas City home before and after Baby Lisa went missing from her crib.

Mr Irwin arrived home from his day job as an electrician at 2.30pm that afternoon and had dinner with Ms Bradley, Lisa and her two half-brothers, aged eight and six.

At 4.30pm, Ms Bradley and her brother Phillip Netz, visited a store to buy a box of wine and baby supplies, while Mr Irwin stayed with the children.

He then left to go to work at Starbucks at 5.30pm. He would typically have been at home with the family and had not anticipated being kept so late at the coffee shop.

After Mr Irwin had gone, Ms Brando, a next door neighbor in her 20s, came over with her four-year-old daughter, who played with the other children, the Star reported.

The friend then left to buy alcohol for herself, while Ms Bradley put Lisa to sleep in her crib at 6.40pm.

The two friends sat on the front stoop smoking cigarettes, talking and drinking into the night, according to the Kansas City Star. Ms Bradley went to sleep drunk at 10.30pm and Ms Brando left.

Ms Bradley was so intoxicated she could not later remember whether she checked on Lisa before going to bed.

The boys fell asleep in bed with Ms Bradley, the Star reported, with the door to Lisa’s bedroom closed.

When Mr Irwin returned home at 3.45am he noticed the front door unlocked and the lights on, which was unusual, the Star reported.

He noticed the door to Lisa's bedroom was open.

He entered the boys' room and found the older child had moved to his bed on the top bunk, while the younger boy still was in bed with Ms Bradley.

A stray cat that she had brought into the house was at the foot of their bed, the Star reported.

He walked to the computer room and discovered the window was open and that Lisa was missing.

He entered his bedroom, woke his partner, and asked her what had happened and where Baby Lisa was. Ms Bradley said she did not know.

After banging on Ms Brando's door to ask for help he called police using his work cell phone because their three personal ones had been taken.

The dispatcher reportedly told responding officers : 'Contact Jeremy. He noticed his screen is busted and his 10-month-old daughter is missing.

'He advises that he didn't witness anything and doesn't know how long she’s been gone.'

This woman has no fucking clue if she saw her baby that night or not. She was beyond shitfaced. I guess it's easier to just point fingers and whine about how bad the media is portraying her, and how LE is over-stepping their boundaries?

Leave me alone. My family is being over-interrogated. Our two boys are going to be traumatized. We need space. We need rest. Waaaaaaaaaaaah. Oh yeah, our baby's still missing too.

If she only had 5 hours of sleep before her husband woke her up and the police were called why didn't they notice then that she was drunk? Being a former drunk myself I'm fairly certain if she was THAT drunk 5 hours sleep was not enough to make that go away. She was either not drunk or the cops were very unobservant.

Also, it says she drank 5 to 10 glasses of wine. Hell of a difference in 5 glasses and 10 glasses.

And, again being a former drunk myself and having been quite drunk on more than one occasion, I will say that I doubt very much if she did anything with her baby that she does not remember.

I think it's great that you're giving her the benefit of the doubt, but I don't like her. I'm suspicious of her and her behavior. Not that she got drunk, but how she's acting now that her infant has been missing for so long. I don't think she intentionally did anything to harm her baby--at least I don't *want* to think so, but I do believe that due to her negligence, something happened, she found the dead baby, freaked, and from there I don't know? If I'm wrong, I'll put my virtual foot in my mouth and enjoy it. But, I don't think I'm going to end up wrong.

I don't know if she did or didn't have anything to do with it. I think I said earlier I thought maybe she had the baby in bed with her and rolled on her and suffocated her, then when husband came home he discovered the baby dead, or she woke up before that and discovered the baby dead. I have no idea where they went from there, though.

My daughter's gut tells her that the mom is innocent. So that's where my family stands on the issue.

There are just things that don't make sense to me, like allegedly being so drunk, but 5 hours later a cop didn't even pick up on that or smell it on her? And I don't really know what to make of the window being open. They may have done that to set up the "fake" kidnapping, but the door was open so why not just say they came in that way?

I don't know? I'm not one of those who's usually like "Ahhh, if my baby was missing I'd be doing this and that and this and that and so on." because in all honesty, I don't know how I'd act? I do know that it seems like a lot of the updates coming out of this case are spot-lighting last minute decisions that mom has made (ie. not letting the boys be interviewed, the family needs R&R, ect.) and sudden albeit slight changes in the storyline (ie. how much she drank that night, when she last saw the baby, ect.). Something just doesn't add up to me. By this point, I do want to think that I'd done everything within my power to find my missing baby. Fuck my rest, fuck how "traumatizing" interviewing my boys would be (they're fucked anyway), fuck law enforcement. I would have had nothing to hide, so please LE, come annoy us. Just find our kid, pleaseandthanks.

Annnnd before anyone else notices it and gets annoyed, me + commas are just no good together. We haven't found that working harmony yet. It's like I go all Duggar with the commas. They're everywhere.

She probably hated to admit she was drinking. And I'd be terrified what my kids might say in an interview at that age. I don't know how much of what they say and do is their decision and how much is being orchestrated by their attorney. I'm super paranoid in my daily life so I might also be super paranoid that I was going to end up in prison for something I didn't do (if they are innocent). Besides, Lisa isn't all that cute.

"Baby Lisa's mother drank five to 10 glasses of wine and smoked cigarettes" - wow, 10 glasses of wine, I wouldn't remember a thing if I drank that much and I'm an avid wine drinker. Also, who care if she smoked? That's just inflamitory. She is a shitty mom because she smoked?

"A stray cat that she had brought into the house was at the foot of their bed..." - yuck. Who lets random stray cats sleep in their bed? It could have ringworm or god knows what else. I have taken in a lot of strays and all my animals sleep in my bed, but not before they are completely checked out by the vet. Icky.

FIVE to 10. Also an inflammatory statement that actually tells us nothing.

and you don't know that the stray hadn't been to the vet. It doesn't say when she found it and brought it in.

True, but I would cease to call an animal a stray after I have paid for it to go to the vet. Then it becomes MY cat. : )

Does it say anywhere that the cops didn't know she'd been drinking?

There are a few details from that article that are really interesting, like it says that the neighbor was there from 6:30 until the mom went to bed at 10:30, so she knew what happened during that time. Also, Starbucks is open until like 2-3 am?? I had no idea.

Yeah, but journalists write articles and they can call the cat whatever they want, LOL.

Do you think the media wouldn't mention it if they did? I had no idea Starbucks would be open that late either, unless they were doing something after hours that night like waxing the floors or other stuff they can't do with customers there.

    Exactly.

    The friend was drinking, too.

Oh, and I've had Jack, my dog, for years and he's been to the vet countless times and I still call him a stray. It's what he was and it's why I don't know anything about his past.

I didn't have to read that she had 5-10 glasses to bring me to the conclusion she was shitfaced. All I saw was boxed wine. Anyone who buys nasty ass boxed wine only buys it with the intentions of getting wasted. Shit's cheap and tastes like hot, liquid barf
The way I read it was that she and a friend went stoopin' and drank wine until both of them were at the point of passing out. Neighbor took her kids and went home for bed, and Bradley stumbled in the house and crashed. By that point, Lisa had been in her crib for a few hours all the while they were draining the box outside on the porch. That sounds like plenty of time for something to have happened and even if that had not been adequate time for a negligant accident, the hours after she passed out are also still unaccounted for.

How much wine does a box hold? I think I quit drinking before they started boxing the stuff. Mine came in bottles. Still cheap, but in glass, not cardboard. I don't think her friend drank her wine, though. It said the friend left to get her own booze and came back.

Boxed wine is a huge hit among the middle aged suburban mom drinking crowd. It's cheap and lasts a lot longer than if you pop open a bottle.

When I was in college we took the bag out of the box and sucked it straight from the tap. It is an extremely cheap, quick drunk. The only people I've known who go and buy a box for themselves are either a) 17 years old partying or b) drunks. A box usually has anywhere from 2-10 liters. She most likely had bought one of those 4 liter boxes for $10 you can find at the grocery store.
The last time I drank boxed wine everything in my apartment bathroom was red the next morning. My roommate and I used crusty, stuck-together, red speckled toilet paper for a week.

I don't think there's any question she's a drunk. She admitted to often drinking after her kids go to bed.

I honestly didn't want to make the point that she's a drunk. I was just pointing out that she was most likely extremely wasted and woudn't know what happened to her baby, anyway. For her to say "alcohol doesn't change a person like that" is bull. She doesn't know how it changes her.
