lol I would call any place reported to be haunted a 'rumor'.
Well if you count people being interviewed and sharing their experiences in the building a rumor, then yes. :)
That's not true entirely. I know plenty of skeptics that have had experiences that they didn't believe in change their tune. I'm one of them. I was a non believer skeptic type that feared ever having an experience. I believe now. I won't go hunting for it with a group or anything but it intrigues me.
The thing is, anything that requires becoming a believer just isn't a fact. And so hauntings are rumors, because you either believe in them or you don't.
The point remains, you'd be hardpressed to find a hotel, specifically, that is more than 50 years old that someone doesn't claim is haunted. Getting Paranormal tv shows out there with cameras or some psychic doesn't really validate the claim any more than one housekeeper saying she saw a ghost.
People have their first experiences all the time, whether they want to or not. We also have no idea if she was sensitive or not. Ok. I see this isn't just a chat but you needing to be right when its just opinions being shared. I'm gonna get off this carousel and stop going round and round.
I really don't think ghosts did it, you're right. I'm exonerating them first.
Are we discussing if she was murdered by a ghost?
No.... That she may have had an experience that scared her and caused the hallway weirdness. No one was there but she certainly was seeing something.
Yeah, i think drugs or a psychotic break is a lot more likely.
^^ Yes, I agree.

I agree (and I say that as someone who believes in ghosts or spirits or whatever). Even when people see ghosts, they don't usually run out of the building and kill themselves. If she was seeing things, I'm guessing it was because of drugs or maybe a mental illness. I don't think she was murdered, either.
She could obviously see the next dimension.
The one thing I wonder is whether the roof door was really locked. My guess is it wasn't but the building is insisting it was to limit their already copious legal culpability. However, if it was, then that implies someone who worked there accessed it with Elisa, which makes them just as responsible.
i am amazed by the people who don't think there's not nasty stuff in the water supply, like ever. i mean, sure there are water treatment plants but uhh... yeah.
i still remember issues with the water when i was a kid. something about fish dying or something. whatever it was, it made the water smell fishy for awhile. we were assured it was safe but the water came out of the taps reeking of fish for a week or two.
