An interesting look at the Jahi case.
Not to be super gross, but I wonder if a brain scan would show it to be jelly yet.
I keep seeing posts about a little boy named Alfie. Something about the hospital supposedly pulled him off life support and gave him a lethal injection or something ? Was wondering if anyone else has read anything or what the background of his story is? Thought it might be a similar Jahi situation
Damn. I had no idea they were still trying to keep her "alive." :(

Is it wrong that I wish the doctor would just let the poor girl die? I feel kinda bad saying that but goddamn.
She had exploratory surgery on 6/1. Doctors found ?nothing wrong!? according to Nailah.
But: she developed ?fluid in the lungs? and jaundice.
And the latest is from today: now she has ?bleeding? and needs an emergency CT scan.
I?m assuming she?s been in the ICU this whole time. I?d love to see that hospital bill. You know Nailah will demand the most aggressive treatment pissible.
Yeah, give the brain dead chick a new liver over someone who actually is alive. WTF.
lololololol, nuthin' wrong but that fluid her her lung and jaundice and bleeding because her liver is fucked. but, hey, her uterus looks healthy! not like it will ever carry a child.
just think, if they had done something in the beginning perhaps jahi could have donated some healthy organs to living donors.
i wanna know what creepy, curious doctor decided to do an exploratory surgery on her warm corpse.
Few interesting comments from the Jahi article in March that I don't remember if we discussed here:
http://disq.us/p/1r761hl - Here's this comment off the New Yorker Facebook site discussing their recent article.
"Don't believe a word that comes out of the family's mouth. They are liars and schemers. I lived in the area where this took place and have friends who were nurses in both recovery and in ICU. Once she came out of the anesthetic in the recovery room, she was complaining of being hungry. The mother and grandmother had snuck in a cheeseburger into recovery and fed it to her! Behind the nurses backs! The hospital is not liable - her family is. The fact that the child was morbidly obese may also have led to complications during surgery. She was in ICU on life support for weeks, even though a number of doctors examined her and determined that she was clinically dead, just being kept alive by machines. No chance of recovery. The child was in ICU for a long, long time. The hospital had to take legal action to get her moved into a long term care facility. The family has never had insurance. They refuse to let her go - she's been there for a number of years now."http://disq.us/p/1r7ie6z - there is no evidence to support the cheeseburger claim. there is evidence that they barged into the PICU without permission, had her talking and laughing against orders, and suctioned the surgical site against both orders AND medical best practices - when even an LPN like grandma should have known.
