When I first clicked on this thread, I got an error.
Yup, that's how my day's gonna be.
Hope it got better, Nic!
Tupelo - no matter what browser I use, I can't login without replying to a thread. Your screenshot looks virus-y but doesn't sound virus-y. How's it going??
I suppose I'll have to mess around with my browser settings or something.
My brain is too foggy for that at the moment.
Sorry for double post but it's the only way I can explain it -
Raisedbywolves (RBW) said, "when I try to sign in it gives me the hand symbol instead of letting me click on the login" - that's exactly what happens to me.
RBW ran virus protection, etc and nothing was found.
Anyone finding a fix for this?
I'm obsessive about clearing cache. I clear cache and cookies out everytime I sign out of a website.
I also thought it might be an out-of-date flash thing, and I updated my flash as soon as all this started. That didn't seem to help.
When I use Chrome, I get a similar thing like Tupelo is getting. It looks like a virus type thing. When I try Firefox or IE, it just won't let me do anything, but it doesn't take me to another page like Chrome.
So is it an advertisement? Or some sort of re-direct? It happens when you are not logged in or logged in? Only non-premium members should be getting Ads.
Have you tried malwarebytes? Might be malware, not a virus.
Assumption is the mother of all fuck ups
Is this on desktop or mobile?
If it's cause by an Advertisement, it's always been a huge PITA to resolve. Ad company doesn't want to believe they'd supply shitty Ads and always request screen shots of the fuck-up in progress.
I'm sure it's just my stupid computer, but a week or so ago, it stopped letting me do emojis and quotes and stuff. At the bottom of the thread where you can reply, all those options are gone. I tried to go advanced, I can see the emojis, but when I click one it doesn't do anything.
Sometimes I just want to throw my computer out the window.
Hi. WTF. I just found MDS but why does it look like this? It's so hard to read...looks like a desktop site (i only have internet on my phone)...Am I dumb??? How do I make this site usable/readable...Please help! Lol
Okay, I was able to replicate the issue when using the Chrome browser. There is some kind of redirect Advertisement over the login/PW field. When you try to click on either field to enter your info, it redirects you to some stupid spam site. For me, it's a weather site.
I am calling the Ad company now to bitch about it, but I also found a site saying that your browser has malware and do download an anti-virus program.... but you know how that works..... will probably end up downloading something else nasty.
Ad company says it's not them (typical) and gave me a link to the same info I found online. Do with it as you will:

Seems it's that time of year again ...
I only realised when I went to edit something but I've got no preemie access again, which means now my message inbox is way over limit so I can't PM anyone either.
I think it's the same problem as before - my annual subscription hasn't updated. It seems to happen every year for some reason? It definitely came out of my account - I remember seeing the tranaction maybe in Feb or March? I can go back & find out if Mike needs the date, but yeah, it hasn't come through at the MDS end.
& if there's a better way to pay it, so that no-one has to mess round fixing it every year, let me know & I'll try setting it up differently.
If it happens to everyone though I'll just keep doing these annual "HELLLLLPP" posts :)
Does anyone sign into the forum through FB and are they having issues? If so, could you post or send me a screen shot of the error you receive?
Hi, can an administrator please contact me? I am trying to get back into my old account, but I think it's connected to an email address I no longer have, so my reset password requests are going nowhere.
Sorry for using this thread to post, but I don't recall who to contact directly for help with this (if anyone)!
