Sorry for your loss Hunter, I understand it is hurtful to read these things about your best friend. However, the members here aren't merely speculating, they're discussing the facts that had already been confirmed by the ME and the police. I do hope you can find some peace with what has happened.
Hunter , youbwont win any fans here defending this kid. We dont have to know him to know he is twisted.
How old are you Hunter?
I'm glad you bumped a DEAD thread.
Yes, you're right. He was 12. He was also twisted. He sexually assaulted HIS SISTER then murdered her. Hell, all "Heartless Feminist cunts who thinks all men are rapists" know that doesn't sound like the "Nicest kid in fucking school".
Since Hunter bumped the dead thread, thought I would see if there was an update.
Sure.....he was just the nicest kid everPornography websites were found on a cellphone used by Ethan, and some references to gun violence were scribbled in a Mad Libs book in his room. However, there were no indications on social media that Ethan planned to kill Kaitlin, and no suicide note was found, according to the police reports that totaled hundreds of pages.

http://www.kulr8.com/story/27321810/...-gun-obsessionBut now, NBC Right Now has learned Ethan's friends, neighbors and family knew he had a strong obsession with guns.
Nearly 300 pages of investigation records in the deaths of Kate and Ethan Austin reveal startling details.
Ethan Austin shot his half sister, Kate Austin a total of eight times including five times in the head., before shooting himself.
In an interview following the deaths, one of Ethan's close friends tells police Ethan had just found out he and Kate were only half siblings and had different dads.
Neighbors and friends mentioned Ethan liked hunting, golfing, but mostly first-person shooting video games.
David Marshal, Kate's boyfriend mentioned Ethan loved guns, he had bb guns in his room and possibly a more powerful gun.
Another friend of Ethan said his behavior had changed before the shooting, he explains him cussing more and playing gun games "non-stop".
Ethan's dad, Andrew Austin even mentions it being common for Ethan to get out the pistol he bought for Ethan's shooting team and practicing dry firing.
Somebody mentioned this video on the last page.
About 32:04 minutes into this HBO documentary, it shows some pretty horrible and graphic images from this case. It also shares some recordings from the dad and the 911 call.
This boy BLASTED the shit out of his sister. He shot her over and over and over again. Just look at the page they show with all the bullets recovered at the scene. They also show the bodies blacked out. There is so much blood.

So Hunter, what DID happen? How did these two nice kids end up dead? Was there a third party involved? Or did Kaitlin stage the whole thing. It seems like you feel like you know the truth, so if the ME and the police had it wrong, now's your chance to set the record straight.
Hunter's just a twelve year old kid, reacting as many young children would in defense of a friend with aggressive denial.
If not accepting the truth makes acceptance of his best friend's death easier for him, then so be it.
His torrent of abuse is, while totally repulsive and reactionary, is also to be expected.
Sorry for the loss of your best friend Hunter, remember him as you wish with all of the good memories of him that you have, and my advice to you is to avoid reading about what really happened on the internet, until you are old enough to deal with it all.
A tragedy all 'round.
Just noticed this tragedy occurred two years ago, so Hunter would be around 14 now? Still a young, volatile kid though, and the pain of the loss of his friend still seems very raw, I reckon he should get counselling or talk his grief over with someone close.
This is good advice.
14 is too young to post here, correct?
Hunter, Ethan might have been a good friend to you, and may have been an okay person, but unfortunately, once he decided to kill his sister (and possibly sexually assault her, which I don't think there is ANY other possibility as to why his DNA would be on her body) he going to be vilified. That's just the way it is.
This thread is so depressing. I can't wrap my mind around what the father saw when he walked in the door and found the kids dead. How do you deal with one of your kids killing your other one. Also this was so complicated and dirty.... so sad

This video is heartbreaking.
1. You're a teen, right? Which means you have access, and know-how, to learn the facts -you're chosing to be angry and ignorant, which is your choice, but it's our choice to report the FACTS.
2. Age means nothing (other than his dad shouldn't have been a fucking GRONK and had guns in the house/near the kids/ever around ever)
3. Feminist??? Please don't comment until you can make some sense, young grasshopper.
4. Alison is right, you need some help. There are many free drop in youth counselling services, and I do understand knowing someone and them doing something horrible - you need to go and drop in.
5. Facts are facts. He did something horrible.
6. You bumped this dead thread, thank you - I had watched these docos but not read this thread, so gave me even more insight into what happened.
7. You're respecting the perpetrator not the victim, his sister deserves your anger, for her.
It must be hard to realize that the adults were keeping the facts/truth about Ethan hush hush, so that you could have good memories of your friend, only to google his name and find out the truth. I can understand coming from an emotional place after just learning these things and needing to question them and or talk with people. We get it, it is hard to come to grips with something as awful as this. That aside, there was no reason for you to come in here guns a blazing and firing off vile nonsensical responses to people talking about a news event. Hopefully your parents will get you help dealing with this tragic event.
But if they do not have self-control, let them marry; for it is better to marry than to burn with passion. 1 Corian 7:9
Oh no Bowieluva..why would place a hex on this poor soul... His little man might burn with passion and if he gets none, he might hurt somebody due to his sexual rage...please remove the curse from him, so you can be able sleep at night with peaceful mind and heart knowing there is no blood on your soul....
lmao! You two are hilarious.
Dude, there ain't no blood on bowie's soul, all she does is speak the truth.
And that little bastard Ethan was nothing more than a volatile little shitkettle who exploded and killed his sister - after he raped her. Fuck that little shit.
Do us a favor, Hunter, and get some help for yourself before you end up just like Ethan.
Don't like what I have to say? I respect that. Go fuck yourself.
Are autopsy reports available to general public? I would pay to read these.
Me too.
I think the ME's office only released small snippets with basic information and I've only seen the same information repeated on all the media sites. The few articles that did "question" how all this went down were blasted by comments from locals saying either "leave this alone. they're good people or those were both good kids"
The HBO doc was the only place I've seen new stuff. I think that's the first time I heard most of that stuff shown. I also don't think I've ever heard a 911 call quite like the one dad made that day.
After reading that kid Hunter's rant, I registered so I could respond. First of all, I commend everyone in this forum for having upright & absolute decorum on this topic. It's very rare to find online in today's social media platforms. Hunter, I'm sorry but you are an overwhelming example of shitty youth of today. You have no home training. Instead of handling conflict you choose to use the anynonimity of social media to "defend" your friend by name calling. And then poof you're gone? Fuck that. The facts are these : your friend ( if that is even true ) sexually assaulted his sister after he shot her, multiple times. The parents lost 2 children and had no idea this was an issue with their son. Who the hell are you to lash out at people you don't know when you are the misinformed? Unlike these good, nice people, I don't feel sorry for you at all because my guess is you'll use this as a crutch for the rest of your life as justification when you turn into a shitty adult.
Did anyone notice that in the 911 call the dad didn't sound shocked or surprised? It's almost like he was expecting it. He also sounded annoyed when he had to tell his wife.
