I think she is having a mental/emotional breakdown. Which doesn't excuse the last like 4 years she was messing around with Brooks, but I still think she is losing it. Also, Megan is annoying but at least she can hold her own against Vicki. Most of the others give Vicki a pass.
It makes sense if she's losing it. She took in this creep who everyone told her would destroy her life, and now he's trying to do just that while making Vicki look like an idiot and leaving her single. It's like the worst thing that could have happened to her, but she brought it entirely on herself.

I need to add, it really pissed me off that Vicki didn't back up her daughter at all with all of the terrible things she was saying Brooks was saying and doing. I don't know if I would be able to forgive my mother if she allowed something like that to happen, let alone deny her daughter had to deal with it all. And I don't care how business savvy Vicki might be, being work smart has nothing to do with being an emotionally stable person. Quite the contrary.
Oh she's a total nutter, and that's common among business women. (NOT STANDARD - JUST COMMON) What surprises me is that as a business woman, she didn't clearly see fishy business. Maybe it was just her mental issues that made her block it out of frame.
Her daughter is stronger than I am. If my mom took that scumbag over me, and let those things be done/said to me, I don't know that I'd be able to so easily forgive. Maybe that's the real reason Vickie bought her a car.
