I've given up on this. Think I made it 7 episodes in and haven't been able to finish it because I worked the last 2 nights...but I'm positive she's living a life somewhere else from how her friend's and dad are acting. Hopefully she's happy wherever she is and stopped hitting people with her car.

and if she IS dead, it happened at the party and that's why they're hiding it....but I mostly believe the first. Like I said, I've given up.

I somewhat followed this case a long time ago, and only remember bits and pieces. But reading your guys' theory of a pregnancy seems likely. She could've gotten knocked up by someone who wasn't her bf, and she wanted to get an abortion so he wouldn't find out. Dad arranges it, but for some reason she doesn't reappear after like she is supposed to (after the abortion) so dad believes something happened to her. What if she couldn't go through with the abortion, and ended up going somewhere to have and raise the kid, not being able to come clean to her dad and friends and family about it so she stayed gone? Then, maybe years later she reconnected with her dad and begged him not to tell anyone, which would explain why he refuses to talk and wants media attention drawn away from her missing case.

I truly think he believed she was missing in the beginning, because he seemed so set on finding her and getting her story out. In the beginning. And he shut up when she finally came to him, years later.

Wow, I know that is a HUGE stretch, and possibly just seemed like a good story to me....call me, Lifetime!

Honestly, I don't think any theory is a stretch with this case.

I kept up with the blog for the most part IRT, and I remember that one of the brothers wrote a song basically saying that Maura had started a new life. It made me go hmmmm when I read that.

This could just be a way for the brother to cope with her being gone. Like, it gives him hope to think she is alive somewhere rather than rotting and being eaten by animals and never having a resting place.

Or, it could be he's really singing about her starting a new life. I don't think either scenarios are far fetched.

That's a perfect set up! I like to have background noise while I doing something (cooking-hahahahaha-laundry, cleaning, driving, working), but I usually zone it out and have no clue what I'm actually listening to. Focus mT! Focus!

Maura picked up the accident report forms from the Hadley crash and was going to go over them with her father the night she disappeared. Two copies were left behind in the Saturn.
"She was supposed to call me at 8 that night so I could help her go over them on the phone. She did pick up the accident reports. She had every intention of calling me," Murray said. Murray doesn't believe his daughter could have been pregnant. "No, she was on birth control pills," he said.
