In the article she says the pup wouldn't take the bottle, so call your local animal shelter and see if there is or if they know of a dog that has had puppies recently. I mean jeez.
have you guys seen the tribe in SA that does that with pigs? a woman breastfeeds them and then the pig is eventually slaughtered for a special occasion and the woman is devastated because she has bonded with the pig like it's her baby.

What the puppy needs is colostrum and immunities(IgG etc) that are found in breast milk of any mammal. This is important for their immune system to form. Why didnt she pump her milk into a smaller container and syringe feed the puppy?!?

I love puppies. I even gave one mouth to mouth once because he stopped breathing, with a mouth guard of course. The vet was busy trying to get the other puppies out during a doggie c-section. But there is no way I would nurse a puppy, that's just too freaky deeky. You can whip up puppy formula fairly quick and easy with common kitchen ingredients.
