And the funny thing is a lot of the girls that worship her are just as pretty or better.

I think that's why New Girl appeals to me so much. The dudes in the apartment really don't give a shit about her, and that's more realistic to me than guys drooling. She's cute, but really annoying. So yea. Oh, and her bestie is a fucking model! Makes her invisible.
That's how I have always felt about Gwenyth Paltrow. Renowned as a great beauty, but you can't find me a plainer jane. It's one thing if she's an excellent actress. Fine. But a beautiful stunning woman? I just don't get it.

Yea, I thought they really sold the thin her in Shallow Hal. And I liked her strutting around in Avengers, but that's cause I like the way Pepper runs shit, and of course he had to have her legs and feet all over the screen, cause that's how Joss rolls (holla).

But other than that? Yea, plain.

Gwyneth definitely has a good set of legs but I wouldn't write home about her face.

Her bod is a different story. I loved her outfits in Avengers. Very hot bod, indeed.

But that's how I felt when Jennifer Love Hewitt (whom I loathe) "channeled" my girl, Audrey Hepburn. Shit made me rage like no other, so I guess I get where Green is coming from.

Artemis isn't big on TV, so you cut her some slack. I'm sure it's not cause she didn't like it, it's cause she never really watched it.

I did watch it. Awful show. I don't appreciate slapstick, though.

Ha. Did you know that Lucille Ball was a commie?!!! She was registered with the communist party and everything. I just learned that today.

    My favorite Lucy.

I have seen the future and I'm fairly relieved to say, it looks nothing like me.

I like Sofia and I LOVE Lucy. The picture is awful but it doesn't make me angry. And I doubt it was Sofia's idea so I don't get why anyone would hate on her about it.

I Love Lucy is not an awful show. I loved it even as a little girl. My daughter went as Lucille Ball for Halloween when she was 3.

It doesn't have to be someone's taste but it inarguably literally launched television and invented the three camera sitcom. Its influence was profound and Lucille Ball paved the way for a lot of things, like women being able to be pregnant on TV.

Word. I fucking love that show.

That picture is...bad, but not offensive. I think Sofia is hilarious, but the picture is weird.

If it literally created comedy then that comedy evolved profoundly thank god.

I don't even know how to address this because it has to do with the origins of comedy, television, and scripted shows. I Love Lucy was groundbreaking in a bajillion ways. An interracial marriage, a female star, etc. Lucille Ball was a trailblazer. And the humor was appropriate for the time. It was the 1950s, you weren't going to get Breaking Bad as one of the three shows being aired on television.
