Got to spend an hour and a half on the phone last night with the guy who was my best friend since the sixth grade. We haven't talked to or seen each other much over the past few years, but he's going through a "mid life crisis" type thing and I was the one he came to to talk about it. We've promised to see each other more, since we live in the same city and there's no reason not to. I'm glad to have him back around.

i get two chances to take my math tests. this morning i took it before work and got a 62%. booooooo. i thought i got this chapter! i figured out that i can go through the ones i got wrong and display the solution... i went through and wrote all of the problems down so that when i took the test this evening, i managed to get a 92%!!! yay!
this brought my class grade up to almost an 'a'. thank the gods, it looks like i will finally pass this damn math class.
Yahoo! That's how I passed, thank goodness. I won't need that crap anyway. Bitches.
Dttmmh: Operation awesome first Mother's day out west is full speed ahead!! We did a test run of the live (MAINE!!!!!) lobster tonight and it was a success. J isn't a fan really so he and j will turf it while Mom surfs it. So so so excited it's MAINE lobster woot woot. We'll be making her brunch - eggs Benedict - and going to the races in the afternoon. So excited!!

i talked to my english teacher today and told her that there is no way i am going to be able to turn in my literary notebook... she said that i will turn it in because i am an a student and the highlight of her class and it would destroy her to not give me an a in the class.
she has given me an extra week to turn it in even though her syllabus says that she will not accept late work in any circumstance.
whew. crisis averted. i better get busy. right after i comment on a few threads, of course.

DTTMMH: I graduated with my Bachelor's degree and just started my Masters. I thought the day would never come...
DTTMMH: Growing up I wasn't very close with my mom's oldest brother (my Uncle), and as I got older my siblings and I had a fairly tumultuous relationship with him. As an adult, now being as close as I am to my Mom, my relationship with my Uncle has really blossomed into something great. What's more, with my Dad gone I find myself going to my Uncle for things that I would likely have gone to my (or a) father for. I had a pretty shit relationship with my Dad, so this relationship gives me the warm happy feels :)
There is a huge movement here to ban Bon Jovi from being played in any bars or clubs or by any DJ. JBJ is rumored to want to buy the Bills and move them to Toronto. It's really awesome to see the city unite and take a huge stance on something for a change. I'm loving this.

dttmmh: phlebotomy. i see that flash of red and i get all giddy like its my first stick. tonight i was training the new guy and a nurse commented on how good i am.
last night i got the assist with a straight cath. i fucking love my job and my coworkers. just a few days shy of two years cube-free and i couldn't be happier with the decision to walk away from the desk.
