I want a nice ukulele for my birthday. I want to be Tiny Tim when I grow up.

I never try anything, I just do it. Wanna try me?

I want to blow my $300 that I earned from focus groups.

I'm undecided on what I should blow it on. I need suggestions and links.

    I want:
A really comfortable pillow (spam me with ideas! A Purple pillow? ) and books.

What would you blow it on?

Put it in a Roth IRA and contribute regularly to it so that you don't have to eat cat food in retirement. That's my suggestion. I know, no fun, but you'll thank me when you aren't eating cat food.

The Roth IRA is a great idea, but I just remembered that I'll be receiving compensation in the form of a Visa giftcard.

So use the giftcard to buy some of the other usual necessities (food, diapers, gas, etc) that you would normally buy from a paycheck/cash and then take the same amount of cash from the paycheck and start the Roth IRA. It's really just six of one, half a dozer of another. Problem solved.
