The marriage of 51-year-old actor Doug Hutchison to 16-year-old Courtney Alexis Stodden could be illegal if her father has any say in the matter.
Crystal Harris and Hugh Hefner may have avoided grossing everyone out even further with their wedding, but this creepy union really takes the cake. Lost actor Hutchison might not look all that horrible for a guy his age (well, he could look a lot worse), but there's no way he should be allowed to marry a 16-year-old (even if she can pass for being a decade older). However, Stodden's mother signed a legal consent form giving her daughter the right to marry the actor much closer to her own age (talk about living vicariously through your offspring!), and the two tied the knot in Vegas (how romantic!).
But hopefully they don't start building their little love nest anytime soon since their relationship could hit a major snag--if Courtney's father still shares legal custody of his daughter and he didn't sign a consent form, the marriage could be deemed illegal and annulled. Luckily for the couple (at least for Doug Hutchison), the father doesn't seem to be around, and there's always the possibility that Courtney Alexis Stodden's mother might not even know who he is. Which raises another interesting question--is Courtney Alexis Stodden even actually 16?
Not to LeBron James the story, but she is a former pageant competitor, after all, and it would not be surprising to find out that a beauty queen has lied about her age at some point. Courtney Alexis Stodden participated in the Miss Washington Teen USA pageant, so perhaps she lied about her age to keep competing as a teen. (Sorry, but some sort of twisted conspiracy theory seems necessary in order to process this sickening story.)
Then there's the possibility that the aspiring country star and Doug Hutchison have cooked up some sort of story to drum up publicity for themselves by lying about her age or even the wedding. Are they looking for a reality show, perhaps? Whatever they're doing, they need to stop right now--the couple is really raining on Crystal Harris's perfectly-planned media parade (Hugh Hefner must be to blame for this extreme May-December disaster!).
