She was swinging on a tree swing and some teacher said the swing rope got caught around her neck and the tree limb fell on her

I think all of the mom's posts re the situation are odd. They aren't what you would expect a mother to say during this time.

First of all, very sorry for your loss. I can't imagine what your family has been through. As you can see, people are commiserating with her loss and how young she was.

I'm not sure how to put this without sounding trite, but nobody has slandered anyone. I'm not quite sure what you mean. Everything posted is public information and nobody has claimed anything that isn't public record.

Exactly what I was thinking. Even if they are wondering if there was some foul play they should still know the cause of death, just not the manner of death. Still.

Makes me wonder if the accidental hanging is even true or just a rumor.

She looks so much older than her tiny 11 years. I think it's odd they do not have a cod also. I pray this was an accident by looking at her pictures she doesn't strike me as a girl that wants to still play on a swing. I mean no disrespect to her it just looks like she was over swings and on to nails and talking about boys MHO

Yep, but if they can confirm say a car accident death the same day on the ME site, surely the same would go for a hanging/crushed by tree? It seems like they are waiting for some tests or something to come back?

Probably Tox to make absolutely sure. It sounds like this happened on school property? Someone mentioned a teacher. If that's the case, I'm sure that legal proceedings are afoot and they need everything covered just in case.

I wonder why there is no news article about an "incident" at the school. I suppose it could have taken place at a Sunday school. I would believe it would not qualify as news if it happened at church. But a modified lockdown at a school here earns a few lines in the news paper. So far this explanation does not pass the sniff test.

you're right Nic thanks for the refocus. I love this sight but have been content with reading mostly but I have some problem letting this go for whatever reason. I feel like, have no proof, Harleah hung herself NOT by accident, what was an accident was the branch falling. I feel for the family because that would be much harder to work through than Harleah's last minutes were playing and smiling.

It sounds like the teacher told other students that is what happened. Not sure though, as I can't picture a teacher telling students that young what really happened....especially if nothing is confirmed.
