What are the odds? There has to be more to this story. Alcohol was involved - I wonder which one (both?) had been drinking?

The dad was on his way to work, the son had been out all night and was on his way home. They where not together. Prayers for the family, such a tragic situation.

I doubt the dad was drinking since he was heading to work. Very sad situation!

Reminds me of this story.

Great link, but I disagree with the conclusion: "...the piece above is a cautionary tale meant to illustrate the dangers inherent in the taking of drugs. “If Jeff hadn’t been high,” says the piece, “he’d have gotten Jenny home safely.”
Actually, if Jenny had just given Jeff at least a hand job, everything would've been fine.
What a horrible tragedy.
I'm wondering if the son slept at all after being up all night partying. He could have still been drunk.
Was the wreck close to their house? I heard one time that most wrecks happen within a couple miles of the home.
Honestly a head-on collision on a country road or highway isn't uncommon or that surprising...they're often two lane routes where someone being impatient passes on a curve or blind spot, and this could easily be what happened, and it's just a tragic coincidence that it happened to be two people related to each other.
