Chattanooga Police have confirmed with NewsChannel 9 that there are several people dead following a School Bus crash on Talley Road.
Police have not released an official number at this time.

Crews are on the scene of a crash involving a school bus and a home.
The initial call came in just before 3:30 p.m. Monday.

A county school bus was involved in a serious wreck in Brainerd on Talley Road on Monday afternoon, and at least six fatalities were reported.
The Hamilton County DA's office confirmed five children were killed at the scene, and another died after being transported to the hospital.
The bus, which was carrying students from Woodmore Elementary School, crashed into a home and was lying on its side. A woman who lived in the house was reported to be uninjured.
Chattanooga Police Fred Fletcher said that 35 people were on the bus and that 23 had been transported to hospitals. Rescue efforts were continuing, but it the last person was extricated before 6 p.m. Chief Fletcher said the children were aged Kindergarten through fifth grade. He said the bus driver was cooperating with authorities.
Colonel Tracy Trott, with the THP, posted on Twitter, "My heart goes out to the families of the children that were killed and injured in the school bus crash in Chattanooga this evening."
County Mayor Jim Coppinger, City Mayor Andy Berke, Interim Superintendent Dr. Kirk Kelly, District Attorney Neal Pinkston, and several school board members were on the scene.
An announcement at the hospital directed all physicians and staff to remain on duty.
A text message went out to parents in Hamilton County: "We just wanted to inform you that Hamilton County schools faced a great tragedy today. School and county personnel are on scene of a bus accident on Tally Road in Chattanooga. Extra counselors and support staff will be on hand to help students process this horrible incident.”
Family members were asked to go to Woodmore Elementary for information on their children.
Blood Assurance asked for blood donations because of critical needs for blood. It was going to stay open an hour later until 7 p.m.
A number of children were arriving by ground and there was also a Life Force helicopter arrival.
Congressman Chuck Fleischmann posted a statement to his Facebook page that said, "My thoughts are with the young victims of the Woodmore Elementary School bus crash in Chattanooga, Tennessee. I am absolutely heartbroken over this tragedy and I will pray for the children and their families."
The wreck happened at 3:15 p.m.
At least 12 children have been killed in a horrific bus crash in Chattanooga, Tennessee, authorities have said.
Twenty-three more victims were sent to area hospitals after the bus crashed and wrapped around a tree.

Chattanooga Mayor Andy Berke told loved ones to go to the elementary school for more information.
He tweeted: 'Please pray for the families of those affected by this horrible accident.'
Parents received text message notifying them of the tragedy, according to WDEF.

Me too. I keep looking at the picture, but my brain can't figure out how the tree went through the top of the bus like that.
This one makes me more angry than sad. Maybe it's because I've almost died several times when a dumbass bus driver is going really fast, and makes a sharp turn, then ends up in my lane, so I had to reverse super fast so they can make the turn into their own lane.
I hate to be a Debbie downer, but that bus took a beating. I'm expecting more deaths

How the fuck did they get on THAT side of the tree though? Did the driver get distracted, realise they were off road, panic & then try to correct back to the road not realising the middle of the bus was alongside the tree?
I live in TN and this story is all over the news. A Nashville station just reported that the tree split the bus in half and that the driver has hired an attorney. They still report the death count as 6.

I didn't want to accuse him of that at first, but I'm banking that he was on something too. I don't see how you could lose control of a bus to that extent unless you were going REALLY REALLY REALLY fast and either way, it's extremely bad judgment. 3 of the students who lost their lives were in the fourth grade, 1 was a first-grader and the fifth was in kindergarten.
6 are still in ICU
