    A dying anorexic actress whose desperate plea for help touched hearts across the world has posted a new video online thanking well-wishers for their donations, which have given her 'a chance to live'.
    In the YouTube video, Rachael Farrokh reveals that the nearly $200,000 raised by members of the public has paid for a 'handpicked' team of medics to treat her at her bedside in Southern California.
    Sitting in her bed with a black vest top exposing her tiny frame, the 37-year-old, who is five-foot-seven and weighs a mere '40-something pounds', tells viewers: 'Hi, everyone. It's me, Rachael.
    'I want to thank you all for everything you are doing for us. It's been so overwhelmingly good in our lives. And i actually have a chance to live. What you guys have done has been amazing.
    'Because of you guys, I was able to see the doctor again. She instructed me on what the proper care right now for me is - to stay here. And she arranged for having a handpicked team of what I need to be brought here at my bedside, until I can build up to get to the treatment I can get to.'
    'But right now, the treatment that I need is coming here - and it's because of you. And it's going to be a long recovery, could be three to five years... but with your support, I know I can do this.'
    Ms Farrokh's 'handpicked' medical team includes a doctor, a registered nurse, a therapist and other specialists, who are providing life-saving treatment at her bedside in her San Clemente home.
    After she builds up her strength by slowly increasing her calorie intake, she hopes to be treated at the ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders at Denver Health Medical Center, Colorado, CNN reported.
    On a dedicated GoFundMe page, the actress's devoted husband, Rod Edmondson, explains that area hospitals have refused to treat his wife because her severely low weight makes her a 'liability'.
    In the video, Ms Farrokh tells the public that their donations - which currently stand at a staggering $185, 902 (nearly 86,000 above the initial target) - have also helped other anorexia sufferers.

    5'7 and 40 lbs? How is she still alive?

    I feel terrible for her, anorexia is a horrible disease and there aren't a lot of treatment options out there. I hope she beats it.

    Holy shit. she was very cute. The after reminds me of a couple people I knew that couldn't gain weight no matter how hard they tried until they got in their 50s. I hope she beats it, too.

    I took Ron's comment as sexual...

    One of the people, idk I wasn't really in her life, just a mom of someone. the other was my best friend's mom and I was always around her. she had something that I can't even remember, but it made it so she couldn't gain it and she took meds and all that.
