Maybe in Sydney, but in a small coastal town, where nothing bad ever happened (until this), who would immediately call Police when you lose sight of your child?
You'd really have a good look for him first, UNLESS there is some reason to believe he didn't just wander away (that was my point).

Uh, I would think with all the shit that could happen if a toddler wandered off into nature, you'd call even faster.

Do you have small children? I cannot imagine a single parent of a small child who wouldn't freak the fuck out and call the police within five minutes of their kid going missing.

  3. #378
Yep, I guess some people panic quicker than others and always suspect the worst from the get go.
Of course, you freak out when you lose sight of your child, but you don't usually involve the Police till you've had a really good look around.

The other thing that strikes me as suspicious is that the cops actually turned up within 5 minutes.
    They aren't usually that prompt.

But a missing kid is a big deal, especially one that young with the elements of the wilderness.

Sure, but I still think his "complicated family history" may have been a factor.

Never seen a child go missing where the parents neither appear on TV nor are named, due to a court order.

You just have to ask yourself what this may have had to do with his disappearance.

Are you thinking a revenge or ransom abduction, if parents in protective custody?

No, most of you are normal. But there's this other breed of aussie that's showing face here, that has weird obsessive natures over threads and can't not comment on every single sentence everyone says.

...unless it's just always the same fucking person.

Um, if my kid goes missing, I'm looking all over the house and probably outside around the apartment complex, and then I'm calling 911. I don't care if it turns out that my kid was being an asshole and hiding from me and now I look like an idiot, at least they are safe. I don't understand what parent wouldn't think this way.

I suppose revenge rather than ransom, you know, like the former partner saying "you took my child away, now I'll take yours".
But I think the Police have looked into this and now seem to have come to focus on the 'opportunistic kidnap' theory.

It's just another option to keep in mind.

my little brother wandered away when he was 4. we called the police and then went looking for him ourselves. we found him before the police got there but fuck it. it was better to notify them first. in 5 minutes, he could have been on the freeway from our house.

Ok, but what specifically about your theory (preferably with details or links of some sort) is that far from what was already talked about on pages 2 and 3?

    So our new list:

    1. Wandered away into the bush and hasn't been found.
    2. Was picked up by a kidnapper from his grandmother's yard
    3. Wandered away a short distance and was picked up by an opportunistic pedophile
    4. Wandered away a short distance and was picked up by someone with no known history of pedophilia
    5. Was lured away by a known person

I doubt it. He's just pretending to not pay attention, because he obviously didn't read this thread as suspected.

I don't think I'm on ignore, I helped the dinosaur with a day, so he should be able to see it now lol

Oh heck, they all want to play now. Well too late.

Taken by extinct animals or extraterrestrials are not considered helpful suggestions. Best keep these ideas to yourself.

thinking a dinosaur is trying to crack the case isn't the best idea, either!

jeez, mister dino, can't solve it in one day without help.

    It absolutely can happen.

    8) Snatched by one of those "Toddlers In Tiaras" moms.

    9) Kanye decided Beyonce would be a better mother.

Let's look at the 'wandered away......' ideas.

I've already suggested that he may have decided to 'visit' grandad at the nearby cemetery.
There could have been other reasons for him wandering off of his own accord.

Did he visit Grandma frequently? Is it likely he played with some neighbour kids and went to see them? Did any neighbours have pet animals that could have attracted his attention? Most urban areas adjoining bushland areas have lots of native animals, might he have followed one of these into the bush?

As it's been said before, a 3 year old doesn't understand the concept of death and cemeteries.

How in the hell are you going to "prove" what happened to him with no body. There is no case to solve. He wandered away like any other toddler in the world and he died.period.
