it wasn't the best docu, but it was interesting to see how inept the WDM police were in the case. i knew a lot of what was covered, but i hadn't seen much with his mom, noreen, before. i was so young when it happened, i remember his face being everywhere and i've always known his name. i don't think that's just us iowa kids, though.

i found the thread, and i see oliva linked the docu last year.
That's SO weird! I just started listening to Sword and Scale and I listened to that episode today. I'll have to check out the documentary.

The Naked Truth: Death By Fentanyl. On Fusion (FUSHD channel 342 on DirecTV).
Really informative about history & timeline of current overdose crisis, including how big Pharma is involved.

Yes, legally. I was given Fentanyl during at least one colonoscopy, and during the placement & removal of my chemo IV port. It makes me so uncomfortably itching that I ask the anesthesiologists not to give it to me.
    How about you?

Ugh those patches are the worst, as far as being dangerous goes. They used to prescribe them to certain animals at the clinic where I used to work (usually for orthopedic surgeries) until a dog died because the owner placed him on a heating pad on the side where the patch was located. the dog was still out of it from surgery, so he couldn't move

I've heard stories of little kids picking up used patches out of the trash and ODing and dying.

It was disturbing. All of it. SO many people made so much money off her case. Her childhood. The murders, her lover, etc.......
I finally got around to watching "Aileen Wuornos: The selling of a serial killer"
I def recommend watching Selling first, then life and death.

Even tho you could watch just life and death and be up to date....the selling gives you a real good glimpse in the shady stuff that went on during her case.

Treblinka: Hitler's Killing Machine- was good if you're into watching Nazi things.

Zero Hour: Season 1: "Disaster at Chernobyl"- was interesting. I've actually watched a few of their episodes.

Hello Documentary fans! I'm fairly new here but adore documentaries. I have watched many of the ones posted but I'm always interested in more.

Is it the Grant Gee doc on Joy Division? I saw it a few years ago. It was really good.

I don't know but it was just called Joy Division. it was pretty much interviews with everyone who was involved with the band, most the focus was on Ian.

    Same reaction here!

Well we know what a good dad he will be if either of his girls ever run into trouble. blah

The whole mentality of the town was hard to take. It was like Friday Night Lights, afterschool special edition. I don't doubt many of these people have been to college, but when they'd open their mouth stupid dropped right out. Almost simpleton. As if none of their brains get any exercise.
