That's a huge problem with how this story is being nationally portrayed. Some people (on the other site) think this is a rural area (don't ask why), and some people assume "...it's near Detroit, so it must be just like Detroit." Wrong. This is a heavily populated middle class neighborhood with a strong police department.
He does live like a mile from the Detroit border, but what people don't understand is that Detroit is a massive city and it's not entirely ghetto burned up houses.
