that shit just makes me shake my head hard. i get the whole vegetarian thing. go ahead and eat your vegetablesi don't care. but the people who think that all animals should be free to roam, that think any animal in captivity is automatically worse off... have you seen a fucking lioness tear a gazelle apart? a coyote gut a stray cat? sometimes animals who do jobs for people, be it providing companionship or pulling a fucking buggy, have found a sweet spot.
i'm not going to say that hurting an animal is good. no one needs a fucking fur coat at this point and we are absolutely able to make lipstick without trying it out on a bunny. still - i'm no scientist, but i'm pretty sure it's important to use animals for medical research. i think i'm a reasonable american.

Yep. As long as they are treated humanely... I have no problems with working animals.
