Honestly I think he said the 12 year old girl comment out of his own volition. She might have instigated the phone sex but anything he said was his own words. I don't think she ever planned this to be used in the trial because she really didn't think she would be caught. The tape was definitely her way of having power over him. I think its obvious he doesn't know he's being recorded because I don't think he would have wanted that side of him documented like that. And I also find it strange that he apparently wanted the phone sex recorded to listen to again but she recorded the whole conversion even the non sexual parts. What would be the point of that. If he truly wanted something to jack off to later then why wouldn't she just hit record after all the small talk stuff.

6/19/2009 2:58pm the computer was turned on again without a write blocker. 2500 files were modified, accessed or deleted. There's 1000's of fingerprints on the computer that doesn't belong to Travis. Testimony from state said no virus's during the first trial. Brian says he has pages and pages of virus's on the computer. Tons of porn links. Brian says based on testimony from the trial no virus's or porn was supposed to be on the computer, but it was loaded with both. There were 19 privacy scrubbers on the computer. The virus links to porn, but some porn was manually searched.
June 1st, 2008 porn was manually searched and Expert say's it's graphic. They read some off "great body, great sex"

No, I don't mean scripted as in he knew he was being recorded. I don't think he had any idea at all that she would record it, at least not so that she could play it for the people closest to him. He learned she was going to do that, and that was part of what led him to call her the worst thing that ever happened to him. It was blackmail. But phone sex, sometimes one person kind of tells the other what they'd like to hear them say. Not for recording, but just because it turns them on.

Well, I think at one point- She started building a case by hiding, covering up, making and editing the evidence. Not exactly for murder, but def for some kind of scheme she came up with to "get back" at him. There's a very good reason Jodi's computer was ruined and her diary is full of lies.
I actually agree with you. I def don't think Travis was a saint. He's a man and he had a computer. Porn is probably a sure bet.
I just can't think of anything he did that justifies being stabbed dozens of times, throat cut, and shot.
If I had to guess, she was going to have some other guy help her put the audio recordings and pictures on the internet so all the Mormons and Prepaid Legal people could see the real Travis. Or maybe hack his blog and post all the stuff on there.
That would give her some revenge against Travis and also validate her hidden relationship with him. Now everyone would know just how special Jodi was to Travis.
My point is that I do not believe she was building a justification for murder. She did want to use his own private words and deeds against him in public, just not in this way. She might have intended to threaten to go public unless he took her back and married her, or perhaps forgave her debt for the BMW.

I like the theory you have about the possibility of a scheme Jodi had to release all Travis' stuff. That could be why it seems like she likes to lead him to talk about some of the PPL guys John Dixon, Abe, etc.. because she wants to get it on tape.
