Hmm. that's weird. I've honestly never posted anything before, but I made sure to look to see if it was following the rules on what you're allowed to post about. I mostly just lurk and only comment in one subreddit...so I'm almost as confused as you are.

Very informative and entertaining even scary at times, a must read for anyone planning a trip to Chicago. It's too bad the site died somewhere around 2012, but low and behold its shadow still exists.

I got a job offer today, contingent on my references being checked.
It's a work from home chat agent gig for various clients (like clothing companies, tech support, etc) I've done stuff like this before but this company is really picky so I didn't know if I really had a shot, I went through 3 interviews and 2 different tests before the offer was made today.
I'm happy because I can hopefully get a really late at night schedule and then still have a lot of time for the kiddo. It's also helping with our slowly moving forward plans to move, because I can still work for this company in that state as an at home agent too.
So I hope my 2 references aren't dickheads!

I got the offer! I have an introductory call tomorrow. My team has a Slack group so they all welcomed me today and it seems like it will be a pretty good gig. The hours are a little whack but hopefully I can change them up after a while.

Yay! Right on!What are the hours like? The ones you wanted seemed pretty unusual to begin with.
It's based out of England so the hours are weird because they have to be translated to my time zone but I work from like 3 pm-6 pm and then again from 9 pm to midnight most days, it's just weird because there is a big break of time in between the 2 "shifts" each day, instead of just working 6 hours at once. It's also like right in the middle of when Harper gets home from school so I can basically get off and eat dinner with them and put her to bed and then go back to work, which is ok but I would prefer working more overnight/when she is in school.Yay! Right on!
