But if not, at least the rape may be a blessing in disguise.
http://www.examiner.com/article/gop-...with-pregnancyGOP official says God chooses to bless raped women with pregnancy
Barnes went on to biblically claim that, "If God has chosen to bless this person [the rape victim] with a life, you don?t kill it."
Well, God raped Mary in the first place.
i think i may have solved my voting dilemma. today anyway, i'm leaning on voting third party.
NOOO, thats just throwing away your vote. the "third" party isnt going to win. and the repubs are DEF not voting third party. This is a little bit of how Gore lost. He lost many votes on Perot? who the hell was running with the green? party... Ron Paul?
anyway, i was in college, and a bunch of my friends voted for the third party, and regretted it so much when Bush won.
green party candidate is jill stein.
i understand your argument. my argument is that the two party system is fucked and the election just a sham anyway. i don't want to vote for anyone i don't actually feel good voting for. i've struggled with the third party thing mainly because i live in a purple state but i think it may be the only way i can feel good about participating.
i'd be a total hypocrite if i voted for obama. i just don't think i can do it. drones. ndaa. war. he's just as deep in everybody's pockets as any other greedy politician.
so what youre saying is that you dont care whether it is Obama or Romney?
because it is not going to be your third party candidate.
Think about that..... because even if you vote for Jill Stein it is NOT going to be her.
I admit to you that I WISH, there was someone better. Kinda like Obama but with more balls, unfortunately. I feel like Obama KNOWS what he has to do but like, kinda admits he doesnt have the initiative or power to do what he really wants....
and then Romney is like pure, boiling evil.
if we refuse to vote third party because we have that line of thought nothing will ever change. i understand that i'll be throwing my vote away, but i don't believe my vote has a lick of value at this point. i can't afford to have a say in this election. i've voted third party in local elections for years, mostly to rock the vote and sometimes because i actually knew who the candidate was. i don't think my measly third party vote for president 'rocks the boat' at all, but i can't check a box next to obama's name. if romney won i wouldn't beat myself up about it. honestly, my alternative thought is not voting at all and i'm a little disgusted with myself for becoming so apathetic.
also, here is a picture of steve king at the iowa state fair. that's a deep fried stick of better he's shoving down his gullet. gross.
i have the sads.
i have the sads, too, zo. i didn't camp in a park this winter, spend weeks of my life in organizing meetings and classes, disrupt, disturb, shut down banks, and get arrested just so i could go stand in a voting booth and do the same thing i did four years earlier. i'm having a big internal debate with myself right now and i'll probably change my mind a few times before its time to cast my vote...or not.
I never heard of Jill Stein before last week but I'm almost 100% with her on issues.
I get the third-party thing, and the pros/cons. I would say in this election, Emmie, don't waste your vote, because even if Obama isn't great, Obama >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Romney, and Romney has a shot. Obviously, it's annoying, because the only way the Green Party is going to be a contender is to get votes...but not in this election, at the expense of Tweedle Dee and Dumber, in my opinion.
I mean, obviously, do what you want lol. I'm a fan of the Green Party for sure. I just know they have no chance, so I'd rather have my vote go to someone who isn't a total asshat.
ETA: I didn't read the rest of your posts until now. But my opinion still stands.
Deep fried BUTTER?
Zo is right about 3rd party voting in 2000
If the folks who voted for Nader and the folks who voted for Buchanan had voted for the logical "2 party candidate" of their choice, Gore would have won Florida and thus would have won the white house.FLORIDA
Bush, George W. R 2,912,799 48.85
Gore, Al D 2,912,253 48.84
Nader, Ralph GPF 97,488 1.63
Buchanan, Pat REF 17,484 0.29
