ok so here are some that i had on me. most of my papers are at school so i cant show you the worst of the worst.

this paper belongs to a 16yr old girl


17yr old male, cant even spell "respiratory" :(


18yr old girl - she writes mostly in script, this is one of her neater essays - only because there are lines and i told her to space her words out more so i dont get a migraine reading her essays


this one is the worst, getting to know him through the year was the only way i could understand his handwriting. He's 18. ETA: the first blank is supposed to be "gluteus maximus". good times.

I started school with my left hand being dominant, so I wrote left handed (it didn't help that I broke my right arm the week before school, so I was forced to write left handed anyway). When my cast came off my teacher would not let me write with my left hand. She forced me to write right handed because "left handed people are devils spawn" and "it is not lady like" for a girl to write left handed. What ever. I am ambidextrous. I can write, bat, and throw with both hands/arms. My right is the more dominate one, but I can still do it with both. I also have shitty writing. Print or cursive. I tend to write in hybrid like Nery. I try to write pretty, in print or cursive, but it takes too long. Everyone says I should be a doctor because no one can read my writing. I can't read my own writing if it is in cursive. I can barely read it in print. I stopped taking notes in high school and college because it was such a waste of time, paper, and ink. I just learned to pay attention in class and soak it in during lecture. If it was REALLY important, I might write it down, but I wouldn't be able to read it anyway, so I never referred back to it.

I only write in print and only with a blue pen. I also have the craziest signature that is in cursive, but kinda hard to make out and I cannot change it. Its actually just my initials, but looks like my whole name. Sometimes I will spell out my whole name, but its super long.

Anyway, the one thing I'm happy about living here is the people here are old school. No way are they going to take script out of the classroom, or math. My son's teacher last year was very strict on math. They had to do a minute exercise where are first is 1+1, 2+1, 3+1 so on and so forth, then once they got as many as they could all correct with no mistakes, they go up to 1+2, 2+2, etc. I forgot how far he got, but it was pretty up there.

If they take these things away from the school (which I HIGHLY doubt they would), I really don't know what I would do. If I even hear it is being considered, I'm going to the board meetings to try and fight it.
