NEWTOWN, CT (WFSB) -
The bizarre discovery of 300 gallons of human urine were found in an abandoned home in Newtown over the weekend.
Environmental officials removed the hundreds of one-gallon jugs from the residence on Berksire Road. Now, they are trying to figure out why they were being stored in the home.
After the home was condemned on Friday, the state hired a contractor who had to pour the urine into large containers so it could be transported to a wastewater treatment plant.
State officials told Eyewitness News if the out-of-state owner is the one who was storing the urine, they would go after the money for cleanup reimbursement.
Neighbors said there has been an ongoing complaint against the home.
"I'm not happy," said one neighbor. "I have no idea."
The average man produces about 144 gallons of urine in one year, according to some websites.

The teen who committed suicide by throwing himself to "Piranhas"
An 18-year-old Bolivian picked a bizarre and gruesome way to commit suicide, police say.
The intoxicated teen jumped out of his canoe into a stretch of river infested with piranhas and bled to death after suffering dozens of bites. Police believe the death was suicide because the teen was a fisherman who knew the river well and was aware that it was swarming with the flesh-eating fish.
Horrible choice of death!
What does true love look like? Well, if you're a complete moron it looks like a bloody, black ink scrapping across the side of your face.
Russian woman allowed her boyfriend to ink his name across her face in 5-inch tall gothic letters. All hail Lesya Toumaniantz, queen of the idiots.
Oh, it's also worth mentioning that she got the tattoo on not one, but both sides of her face. Possibly to let people know a dumbass is close by, no matter which side of her they're standing on.
I just got my bill for my horse incident (thankfully since I work here I get 1 freebie per year) and it was $2500- 8 miles from my parents house to the ER. It was itemized. I got morphine, a cervical collar/headbed (to secure my head on the backboard), a plastic IV catheter, a syringe of saline and I still have to buy a new uniform they cut my clothes off (that they didn't charge for). I almost had a coronary.
ever watch River Monsters? maybe it wasn't river monsters, but it was on Animal Planet. Piranhas devoured, i mean nothing left but bones, a cow carcass they dumped into a river in Brazil, to see what Piranhas do. Maybe it was a scavenger/predator show. anyway. It took them like 30 mins to completely devour it.

PHOENIX (CBS5) -
A mother has been taken into police custody after police say she tried to give away her 6-month-old daughter at a Phoenix gas station.
Sgt. Tommy Thompson with the Phoenix Police Department said investigators learned from witnesses that 36-year-old Rozenna Luna was asking strangers if they wanted a "free child" as she attempted to give the baby girl away to total strangers in the area of 2300 W. Bethany Home Road about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Thompson said Luna was intoxicated and had smoked methamphetamine two days before the incident.
According to investigators, Luna had made no attempts to contact safe haven locations, government agencies or family members for help.
The clerk at the convenience store called police but Luna also called police. She told police she called them because she knew she had misdemeanor warrants and would be arrested and go to jail, which meant she would not have to care for her baby.
Luna was arrested on one count of child abuse as well as misdemeanor warrants for her arrest.
Police said her baby, Elena, was not harmed. She was turned over to Child Protective Services, but the baby's father told CBS 5 News that he will do everything in his power to get her back.
"I got three kids with me and I want her back, you know, no matter what. I want that, I want her back," her father, Enrique Luna said.
Rozenna Luna made her first court appearance on Thursday afternoon when she was appointed an attorney and bond was set at $1,800.
Her next court date is scheduled for May 23.

They agreed to get each others name tattooed. He got " Pam " on his arm. I know because I asked after seeing all that ink of hers. Holy hell girl...
Boys with baby bumps? Chicago ads stir outrage
Chicago officials have birthed a controversy with a new campaign that critics say unfairly targets the city's young boys.
The billboard series titled "Unexpected" shows teenage males with their bellies protruding as if they're pregnant. A similar campaign ran in Milwaukee using the provocative images and now Chicago has rolled them out.
The campaign's message is that girls aren't the only ones that bear responsibility for the city's pregnancy rate, which has decreased 33% over the past decade, according to the city's Department of Public Health, but still remains higher than the national average.
The campaign launched this week on buses, bus shelters and trains. Billboards have also gone up in neighborhoods that have a high rate of teen pregnancies. The city says responses to the images on the billboards mean one thing: Success.
?The response has been overwhelmingly positive,? Brian Richardson, spokesman for the Chicago Department of Health, said. ?We?ve seen huge increases to our Facebook and Twitter accounts and huge media coverage, which is good because the entire goal was to raise awareness about a very important issue.?
Indeed many of the responses have been in support: "I like it. It's different," said Melissa W., a commenter on Fox Chicago's Facebook page.

i think it's an incredible ad! i've never seen ads targeting the other half of the pregnancy problem. those little fuckers can go around and shoot their gun off all over the place and no one ever reminds them why that's such a bad idea. this is a good one. thanks for sharing.
Porn, Baby Oil Found at Scene of Elderly Wife Homicide
A murder investigation into an elderly woman's killing, allegedly at the hands of her elderly husband just took a bizarre set of turns.
Sex could be the motive in the elderly killing that first appeared to be a home invasion in Northeast Philadelphia.
Louis Hartdegen, 75, admitted to police that he fabricated a story about a 26-year-old neighbor breaking into his Oxford Circle home early yesterday and killing his wife Judith, according to Philadelphia Police.
Hartdegen said money led to the killing. Multiple police sources with knowledge of the investigation tell NBC10, however, that Hartdegen didn't kill his 74-year-old wife over money but rather during an argument over sex.
The sources say the woman's body was found with baby oil and a bite mark on her chest. The sources also say that Cialis -- an erectile dysfunction medication -- and pornography were found nearby.
Philadelphia Police were called to the 6700 block of Castor Avenue in the Oxford Circle section of Northeast Philadelphia around 2:20 Monday morning for the report of a burglary, according to investigators.
They found Hartdegen, 75, bloodied with extensive wounds to his head and neck. Hartdegen told police his neighbor had broken into the second floor apartment and began to attack the couple including sexually assaulting Hartdegen's wife before suffocating her.
Louis Hartdegen was rushed to Aria Health - Torresdale Hospital in stable condition. Police took the man's 26-year-old neighbor into custody Monday morning.
Monday night however, investigators announced a twist in the case. According to Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey, Hartdegen confessed to killing his wife and making up the lie about his neighbor committing the crime.
?Rarely do you have a homicide like this take place,? Ramsey said.
On Tuesday morning, homicide Capt. James Clark said that Hartdegen admitted to striking his wife several times before suffocating her during a domestic argument.
Those who knew the couple are shocked.
"That guy was arthritic from head to toe," said Mark Ryan. "I just couldn't see him doing it."
"She was always with him, supporting him," said Randy Bertre. "He can't even walk."
This isn't the first time Hartdegen has been in trouble with the law. According to court records, he was found guilty of incest back in 1991. He was also found guilty of burglary back in 1971.
