I think if you keep posting it will eventually take. Usually ten posts or more will verify you. The site just has to determine that you're not a not.

I don't think there is an inactivity logout. I have stayed logged in for a few days without activity and never been kicked off.
I get logged off after what seems like 5 minutes doesn't really matter I just log back in anyways.

You could always use google and search for the thread and add "mydeathspace" Last I knew, the search feature wasn't the best...
Search function here blows. Your best bet is to Google the case/person you are looking for with "mydeathspace" after it and you should get better results. Or you can post the info here and someone my be able to direct you to the thread.

I don't know. That function usually works fine. Maybe after 10 posts, but it could be a premium perk so I can't say for sure. Just make a few more posts and try again.

Hello~ I've been coming to MDS off and on, for many years. I always thought I'd register at some point, but was always too lazy!
Lately, I've been reading an old, long thread, and joined so that I may click on ID's to view past posts - so I wouldn't have to go back and search through all the pages to find them again. (I finally realized that joining would take less effort, in the long run.)
So now, I suspect that I shall need to post 10 posts, to actually be able to click on ID's then, huh?

I have a question that isn't exactly about the site, so I hope this is okay.
Does anyone know if it's possible to find out the location someone died? Like, if someone committed suicide in the woods, would there be a public file somewhere with the latitude and longitude coordinates so the exact spot could be located?
I can't tell if this is a dumb question or not but I'm putting it out there. I'd like to mourn someone where they last stood on earth.

Depends on the public records available for the state/country they died in. I doubt very much it would go into such detail as longitude and latitude though. Are you after a specific person's records?

I suppose so? I know where he parked his truck and I know the area. We had search teams out looking for two weeks before we heard he had been found. I walk the trails, I guess I'm looking for a specific grieving place as he was cremated and there is no headstone to visit. Is that sort of information public?
