Oh man. Now I'm nervous.
Uhhhh, Punker? What's with your horse having the teardrop tat under its eye? Who'd it kill?
PS Ladies, if you're looking for hormone replacement, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE avoid Premarin. You may not realize it, but the hormones are collected from Mares kept in standing stalls and kept continuously pregnant. The drug is made from pregnant horse piss. They take the foals and sell them for meat then impregnate them over and over. Its torture. Choose something else.
PSA of the day. You're welcome.
I wanna go to pony prison. That sounds like fun.
Punker, I would tell crazy lady that when she signed off that horse that meant she needed to back the fuck away.
Our just not answer her emails.
I have been going with the smile and nod approach with what she says and then doing my own thing.
She keeps wanting to come 'bring stuff' for him. I told her and the rescuer she can maybe come once a month and ONLY if the rescuer comes with her, never alone, and that I'd actually prefer if just the rescuer gave me anything the old owner had to give. I think that's fair, so I don't get the horse more confused or me more frustrated by having her here all the time. I'm only answering things through the rescuer- IE: psycho emails me, I forward the email with the answer to the rescuer who talks in person to the old owner. Kinda forcing her to go through those channels rather than bother me. For a horse she was trying to kill, she sure seems to be obsessed with him now. The rescuer admits the old owner is a crazy control freak and can't just leave it alone. She's being a very patient middleman now, and says believe it or not the old owner has settled down about it since last week, but overall she signed him over but she still hasn't 'let him go yet'. Maybe putting him down in her mind was the only way to detach from him. I dunno.
All I know is he's happy here. He's getting his wound attended to, getting rest, getting some play time, and being spoiled. I'm trying to be gentle with the old owner because I know she's not quite right, but if she ever shows up here uninvited I'm calling the cops on her crazy ass.
Some times the right thing isn't always the easiest, but I'm still glad we saved him.
Duckie, your horses are beautiful.
My baby girl HemiKrikitMcMittens gave me a shock and scare this morning, she came up to me a lil while after her breakfast & her right eye was white.
I freaked & just lost it. I had never seen anything like that.
We took her to the vet asap. The doc thinks her eye was scratched, put dye in it and gave her an antibiotic, steroid ointment.
He will see her next week.
That was a quick $200, but she was worth it.
She was so good at the vet. Poor puddums didn't utter a peep and she stayed still for the nurse & doc. She had to have felt pretty bad to be so still.

PD...I love this story, and that's one big fucking horse! I'm such a city girl, but I love riding horses.
Dozer squishing my nephew. He's under there somewhere.
Chevy, dozer and jasmine with my nephew.
Dozer is a lap dog.
My mom put her Jack Russel down in January and he was 15. She has been so deppressed and misses her walks with her neighbors and misses having a dog. At first she did not want another one because it hurt so bad losing him. About 3 weeks ago she really really has wanted one but just didnt have the money to adopt and refuses a puppy mill type place. I found a family yesterday that raises prized Jacks but the neighbor Westin came in and got their Jack pregnant. I went and picked him up yesterday. The people are trainers and he is so well behaved and loves kids. They have twin 2 year olds. He didnt cry last night at all. She has called me 10 times this morning telling me how good he is. A 9 week old that is potty trained is crazy but he goes to the door when it is time.
