Thanks whack. I tried some spots like Famous Dave's and Dinosaur BBQ. Good choices but no go on the meal I desire. I've heard cracker barrel is phenomenal but there isn't a close location to my house, so this may have to be a trek of love and affection. Truth be told though, rather then drive the distance I'd rather wait until I have to go upstate again and then visit the Pig Pit outside of Albany. Now that's good eatin.

You need to try a southern chicken fried steak. I make them on the regular. Here in texas, you can get a chicken fried steak at almost any restaurant you walk into. Even the breakfast restaurants make them. =) classic dish down here

i baked it with salt, pepper and garlic. Then let it cool, chop it up and then make the patties.









Question - I have smoked sausage thawed out and I don't know what to make for lunch. I am two hours late on it because of job interviews, etc.

Smoked sausage and yellow rice packet. Chop and saute the sausage then throw into the yellow rice? Does that sound good? Kinda like a paella?

Just when I thought today couldn't get any worse after the lawn mower breaking down. I burned my steak on the grill (it stared raining), the 'baked' potatoe exploded in the microwave and I forgot everything but the lettuce for the salad. Then I goofed by smithing instead of repping.

Guess I'm going to bed shortly!

lol, poor thing. I actually like salads without the lettuce. just lots of cucumbers, tomatoes, hard boiled egg whites, grilled chicken, lemon/garlic/olive oil dressing and bam, i've got a "salad"

All I made last night was fried chicken, mashed potatoes/gravy, and corn on the cob. We haven't had it in ages. I forgot how much I hate to cook chicken (I don't cook with a lot of chicken)

The wings were baked, seasoned(McCormick buffalo season), then tossed in home made wing sauce(don't have recipe). It's easy and so good!
