mammals are delicious. i never thought i'd be that person after being vegetarian but i came back to the darkside and well, yum. i ate like shit when i was a vegetarian, save for the occasional week i'd go vegan but even then, i ate a lot of crap, just without eggs or dairy in it. i pretty much lived on bread and cheese. or cheese and tortillas. and pasta. mmmmmm....pasta.
I'm glad I'm not the only ex-vegetarian. I ate pretty shitty too, save for my daily Subway veggie sub for lunch for seven years (I didn't eat any condiments back then either so it was just a bunch of dry veggies. Delicious. Not). Cheese quesadillas were my favorite thing EVER at the time. Even when I'd eat veggies, they were basically Cracker Barrel-style, so ridiculously unhealthy.

fried chicken brought me back to the dark side. i dove right in. it gave me the shits and i thought i was going to die but it was the best fried fucking chicken i've ever eaten. i didn't even really like fried chicken before, which is the weird part.
i realize chicken isn't red meat, or a mammal but that's what brought me back. i stopped being a vegetarian over 10 years ago, so i don't remember much other than the fried chicken shits. oh, breakfast sausage shits. if you don't get the shits, you'll likely still get the sweats and/or the cramps/gas. YAY!
i will say that all my meat preferences changed when i started eating meat again. i prefer dark to light meat and like red meat rare vs. well done. oh but one thing i cannot eat is hamburgers. unless i know it's actually ground chuck/or whatever and not some processed ground meat product, i will skip it or suffer the worst stomach pain/omg i'm dying feeling ever.
I have a roast, and there's a LOT left over. I need to freeze it, but it's really gross if I freeze the whole slab of meat. Would cutting it into slices help?

That would probably help, as long as you keep it in the juices when you freeze it. Do you have a Fresh Saver handheld or anything like that that can vacuum seal it so that it doesn't get freezer burn? You can just take out what you need and reseal it again.
Nothing like that, but I'll give it a shot. Better than sitting in the fridge going bad. I've made sandwiches, and tried anything to make it interesting, but there's just SOOO much. The slab cost $50 so....yea.

meat is not the only source for protein! this though is for you too, ron! also, fiber helps you feel full too.
Wrap up serving sizes so all you have to do is defrost for dinner. I will portion out servings, wrap well, then seal in a freezer bag. Don't forget to label and date so there's no confusion or forgetting how long its been in the deep freeze. I found shit in my mom's freezer that I made 2 years ago that she never bothered to eat/throw out.
