    Re: Lunch Rotation

Every time someone mentions Panera I laugh. We went to one in Iowa City once, my mother in law, Becky and me. We sat down and Becky pitched a fit because there was just nothing there that she could possibly eat. This was quite a few years ago. She just carried on and I think she even cried.

Grandma is sitting there saying, in the sappiest grandma voice you can imagine, 'Honey, where do you want to go? We'll go wherever you want. We just want you to be happy.'

And I'm going 'Are you fucking kidding me? I will not take her wherever she wants. She can certainly find something here to eat.'

I still tease Becky about that all the time. When she complains I say, 'Well hoooonnneeyyy, we just want you to be happppy.'

She has since grown into food like that and can eat there without a problem.

Panera will always be known as Pantera Bread in my circle of life.  It sounds more badass that way.

I would cut a bitch for some Panera. We don't have them around here.

I did just realize that we have a Filiberto's though! I remember someone going on and on about that place recently. I haven't tried it yet.

I went to my kitchen, made a salad and let it wilt before I got a chance to eat it.

We are having vegetarian goulash for dinner, oh man I can't wait!

I had biscuits and gravy for breakfast so I'm quite full already.

The cafeteria here at my work made a hot sauce for wings on Friday.  They let me sample the raspberry one that has ghost chilies in it.  Not bad at all.  Nice heat to it too.

    Re: Lunch Rotation

    This girl LOVES food  :)

    ON ROTATION:

Chipotle:  everything is fresh and made right there.  Big ups!
Bugaboo Creek:  kind of heavy for lunch but I love their batter for the wingies.
Chili's:  Very timely.  Quesadillas are to die for..  plus they have happy hour which is basically illegal in Mass.  haha
Junior's:  Dope food.  I had the steak salad the other day and couldn't believe I enjoyed a salad that much
Funky Murphy's:  Best drinks ever if you need a liquid lunch, like I usually do.
Five Guys Burgers:  This is my new favorite.  However I see myself getting fat very quick, especially with the portions of fries they give

    OFF ROTATION:

The Picc (Piccadilly Pub):  they have a great lunch menu variety but the food leaves a lot to be desired.  especially the buffalo chicken.  yuck!
Qdoba:  SO MUCH BETTER THAN CHIPOTLE!!!  but it moved away  :(
Subway:  They don't wear gloves when making food.  Pretty sure that's against DPH regs.
India Cafe:  I found a long and thick gray hair in my meal.  which I don't even know what the hell I was eating.  double negative.

Yeah I love the mixture of sweet and hot. You can even put a dab on a cracker with cream cheese. YUM!!

I find it in all the grocery stores around here, it's become very popular in the past few years.

Here it is at Cosco, also you can find it on Amazon but I guess they only ship 6 packs.

I might need to try Chipotle again. I just hate when they put all that rice in.

    [/quote]I love cilantro rice. mmm

We have Chipotle, Qboda, and Pancheros.  The only difference in these places is Pancheros makes a fresh tortilla right in front of you.  Otherwise they're pretty much the same thing.

Yeah, see that's why I like Qdoba more.  Do you have one of those nearby?  I like really really spicy/hot things, and they have this habenero (spelling?) salsa that is on fire that I love.

I would ask the Chipotle people to put in less rice.

ooo....  we went to costco about 2 weeks ago and they were handing out cracker with cream chesse and some sweet & spicy sauce over the cream cheese.  It was so good so I went to the nearby store to see if I could fond something like it but didn't even know what it was to begin with.  I'm going to have to get some of that when we go again. (Sucks that costco is an hour and a half drive away so we only go when we need to buy somethingin bulk :(  )
