An arrest warrant has been issued for a mental health advocate who remained missing on Sunday, more than five days after police found the Massachusetts officer she had been married to dead in their home.

Karen Solomon, 58, was last spotted in a doorbell camera video, walking down a street in a T-shirt, shorts and flip-flops early Tuesday morning, just minutes after Worcester police officers responded to a call from the home where Kurt Solomon was found dead.

Worcester police chief Paul Saucier said the warrant charges Karen Solomon with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Saucier said Kurt Solomon, a 31-year-veteran officer, was mortally injured with a sharp object – he wouldn’t say precisely what.

Karen Solomon wrote two books about the physical and psychological experiences of first responders and helped start First Help, an organization that advocates for their mental health. The Solomons shared a home and had been married, court records indicated – but authorities declined to discuss their current relationship, citing domestic violence privacy rules.

What a strange story. At first I thought she might have just snapped but reading comments on FB make me think she had something deeper going on.

I know Karen and I can tell you that she has always had some issues with her mental health. Our interactions during the time we were working in the first responder community were very unpleasant. There are many of us working on educating and training in the prevention of ptsd and suicide. I am not the only one that has dealt with Karen, her bullying tactics and need for recognition. I warned people for years to be careful around her.

Our nonprofit was relentlessly bullied by Karen. I know several others that were as well. None of us worked with her due to the red flags, and she was livid. She attacked us relentlessly. It was WILD.

Some people on FB are saying they found her body behind the rehab hospital, but there is no confirmation of that.

The manhunt for Karen Solomon, the Worcester woman who has been missing since the death of her police officer husband at their home last week, continued Monday.

Boston 25 News spotted heavy police activity outside the Fairlawn Rehabilitation Hospital at 189 May Street.

Boston 25 learned that RCAP Solutions evacuated all employees at the facility and told them to leave because of an investigation, but they were not told any specific details.

Boston 25 was also told that a press conference on new developments in the case will be held at the Worcester Police Department at 4 p.m.

Police just confirmed in their press conference that she has been found dead and consider the case a murder-suicide.

I had a feeling this would be the ending to this story. Sadly her pattern seems to be clear and like many bullies, when she was faced with no other way to bull shit or intimidate her way out of the mess she made she ended her own life too.
